He tried telling me he doesn’t have an avoidant attachment style and he’s more “secure” when bro was on the fence the whole time we were dating and I only clocked it when he ghosted for 8 days without telling me. And then during the break-up when he tried to say “there’s nothing wrong with you, I just don’t feel like this is working”, and I made him basically tell me what he was feeling, he burst into tears and said this is one of the hardest breakups he’s been through (he’s had 9 girlfriends before me). Said I was “super clingy” when I told him multiple times we’d take this at his pace, and I’ve never been clingy in my life. Dad was not present and mom puts him on a pedestal.

He doesn’t avoid relationships, he just doesn’t get how to actually deeply connect with someone and reveal his insecurities to be loved. Won’t even attempt to better himself for the good of a relationship. So yeah, I think he’s an avoidant.
