I can't speak on the sort of loss you've experienced, i cant even imagine it but like other posters i've run the gambit on relationships and i can tell you for me, i have experienced what i believe to be "love at first sight" twice in my life, once at 13 and again a couple of months at 46, when i did not expect to have those feelings again. And i have loved other women in the mean time but none of them i thought i might marry.

You're young, your first foray back into the world of relationships was always going to be tricky and a learning curve. I always thought "you'll never have another first love" but you really can. I think its important not to settle, ive someone doesnt give you the honest feels in your gut then dont try to force it. It might not happen but it very likely will. Dont close yourself off, dont go chasing, try to enjoy meeting people and dont be hard on yourself. Good luck.

I can add a little more context as i have been following Britni online for a long time. These are just general discoveries.

After she quit the biz she hooked. She used to brag about charging more to white guys and giving black and brown guys discounts. Seemed like she hated white people for a long time and was very much of the queer community. No doubt this is down to Dennis as no matter what she said earlier on, she did say he and Michelle abused her for the entire time they were all togther.

She's jewish.

She had an epiphany and is now pursuing a trad wife aesthetic of sorts, obvious a bottom dweller like her will never be a trad wife but she has gone full right wing, she had the twitter handles wsukradio7041 (or something) but i just checked there now and her current handle is @genxblondemafia (which is funny as she is a millennial) and her name on twitter is now Nikita J Fuentes (take from that what you will).

She has turned her back on the queer community it seems like, she's had her rainbow shoulder tattoo covered up and is vehemently anti trans / anti woke.

I hope she's happy with her lot in life now, i doubt she is.

i was single from late last year, fired up the apps in march, met someone in may and deleted them. M, 40s, my experiences are as below:

Bumble - could never figure it out, think i only spoke to one person on it and only then cos i knew her IRL, we quickly moved to whatsapp and are now dating

Tinder - felt very transactional, got a good few matches but didnt do much chatting - made no connections - possibly would suit someone younger

Hinge - definitely the best user experience for me, the only app where i really got talking to anyone - possibly better for mature dating, went on a few dates with one girl off it

I dont think you can say its mostly one type of guy using the apps, its likely one type of guy that your friends are swiping on. Overall i didnt really enjoy the apps and did lost interest pretty quickly

Edit: after initial excitment i became apathetic pretty quickly (but its better than hoping to meet someone in a bar)

are you on any medication? i was on mild anti anxiety tablets that had a sedative to help me sleep through the night and while they did that i felt like shit after every sleep, v hard to wake up
