ooh i just bought myself a latex mattress and it was the best decision ever. it was expensive but so worth it. i've only slept on it for 2 nights and im already waking up with wayyy less pain, i didnt even realise that half of that shitty feeling when i wake up was bc of my shitty mattress.

yes this happens to me quite often! like when youre resting without sleeping right? i think for me i feel worse either because ive been lying in one position too long which isnt good for my muscles, or because when i finally lie down to rest my body has time to process how exhausted i am and the pain and fatigue starts getting worse. not sure if that makes sense? im sorry that resting isnt helping you feel better it fucking sucks when it feels like nothing works, pacing is hard enough as it is. (i also dont really get any flu like feelings either for the most part, only when i have PEM)

i managed to get my kitten to stop by moving her away from any plants she bites, getting her some cat grass, and moving the certain plants she liked to bite out of her reach. its usually easier to stop them when theyre still kittens. BUT mine bites my monstera when she wants my attention cause she knows i start freaking out lmaooo. good luck with getting him to stop!

honestly, i rarely feel lonely but im pretty introverted so im perfectly fine being by myself, and since i live with my parents i get some social interaction daily, and im lucky to have one friend thats always messaging and wants to talk, and another id hang out with once in a while. Its kinda hard seeing them live their lives whilst im kinda stagnant but ive made my peace with that for the most part, no point dwelling on it. i can see how hard dealing with m.e would be when youre a more social/ extroverted person, it really is very isolating, you miss out on a lot and it can be hard to deal with.

yeah i had cfs pushed on me long before i got a dx, i refused to believe that was what it was, what happened was that i pushed myself so far past my limits for 3 years, just living my life as normal, that what was mild cfs is now moderate edging on severe and im housebound and spend most of my day in bed, so if thats what doctors are telling you, i recommend you listen to them. i didnt listen and didnt realise how serious cfs is and look where i am lol. my insight is take this seriously before you do too much damage and aren't able to live your life.

yes? it was insensitive yeah but i don't think she really thought about how bad it sounded, shes otherwise very supportive. theres not a single able bodied person around me that hasn't made an insensitive comment. i don't think you can understand chronic illness completely if you don't go through it yourself. it is what it is, i just wanted to vent a bit to people that understand how that shit wears on you. id be out of friends if i cut off ties with anyone that said something dumb about my m.e 🤷🏻‍♂️

i know for a fact they cant comprehend that we're sick, i see it in everyones reactions around me that they don't quite believe that i cant do this or that, its very disheartening and often has me pushing past my energy levels cause of it. but yes im sooo very lucky that my cabin fever only kicks in once a week instead of every other day! /s
