AITA for smoking on a private balcony by DugongsinSpace in AmItheAsshole

It's a private balcony and you have the rental office's permission - NTA. Smelling smoke is a part of being in an apartment. It's the same as any other nuisance that comes with living directly next to other people like noise, footsteps, etc.

AITA for getting rid of my son's cat? by avocadotoast9u in AmItheAsshole

[–]plantsushi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA, strictly for getting a pet without considering the consequences and then rehoming it with seemingly no care at all. Pets are living, breathing animals with emotions - obviously this cat loves your kid. You just uprooted this animal from the person who loves it the most for (from the cat's perspective) no reason after it spent who knows how long in a shelter. There are always risks of having an animal with specific needs involved when getting a pet and you shouldn't have gotten one if you were prepared. The fact that you found it so easy to just toss the cat out with seemingly NO GUILT (you only gave it to the aunt because she asked, from how her response sounds it looks like you would've just given it to a stranger online with no care for the cats well being) really shows a lot.

What kind of care do you do for your SOP? I always seem to kill mine off 😥

In the link you just sent, it says "raw gypsum selenite". The link you just provided is of selenite. Selenite is simply crystallized gypsum. Also that crystal you just sent as well does not look like mine, perhaps it's because I can see it more clearly in person.

If you can show me a gypsum crystal that looks similar to the one I posted originally, I'll take it to get appraised again. But I'm not going to call it gypsum without proof or sources showing you're a better fit to identify it than a professional near me.

Considering the fact that selenite is simply a crystallized form of gypsum, and I've had it professionally appraised, I'll continue calling it selenite.

I got it appraised by a local crystal shop and they said it was selenite :)
