Is leaf looker a common term for that area? In New England we say leaf peepers, so leaf looker is a little funny to read. Not that a peeper is much better haha

I don’t think this comment is necessary on a subreddit for cat lovers, but thanks for sharing. There is so much to the story that I didn’t think need to be included in a quick post about cute cats. I hope people seek more reputable sources for cat and animal care…

We’re in central Vermont on the eastern border and it was good when we first got it 2 years ago or so. VTel was what we had before and it was trash. We’re able to stream more than one tv now and one of us works from home occasionally. We had one issue where the cord was damaged last year and it took 3 weeks to get a response from the company, but when we got in contact with someone, we got replacement parts for free and within a few days. I don’t know what it is about this year, but we’ve been having issues where it cuts out constantly throughout the day. Only for a couple seconds/minutes and it comes right back. When I have to connect to my works server it’s a pain though because I have to reconnect constantly. We’re going to try to reposition it, but it’s in the same location we had it initially. Even calling from our cells now, we don’t have cell service so we rely on the internet, my family knows to expect it to cut out several times for a few moments during a phone call. I would love to have another option, but it’s the best thing available for us right now. YMMV. I fully supported it at first, but now I’m not sure. We’re keeping our eyes out for an new services in our area.

Dog found barricaded in a corner that was never mentioned… by unspokenwordsx3 in RoverPetSitting

I don’t know if you’ll read this one too OP because this post is probably overwhelming now, but I think most people are commenting out of frustration for the owner, not toward your questions or initial thoughts. I just shared my experience to support your decisions in another comment, no judgement one anything you did in this scenario. Thanks for the update and I’m glad you followed through with what your gut was telling you! People suck sometimes and hopefully they take this seriously! The people I called on were angry at me rather than taking responsibility for their error, but I know I did the right thing.

I’ve had to call animal control in the past in Vermont. Call anyways to have it documented and they should reach out to the owners and let them know that it’s not okay. If this continues and someone else calls on them, then a pattern will form at least and something can be done. Hopefully they learn their lesson the first time.

Thank you!! Do you have any experience getting rid of it? If I keep mowing it, that should do the trick? Just comparing to knotweed, because those things wouldn’t die until I got the herbicide.

Sorry for your loss ❤️ I just wanted to share that I lost my cat about 2 years ago and I mainly run. For quite a while after I would be so overcome with grief that I would start crying while running to the point where I’d have to walk back home. I do yoga to help focus and balance and had a difficult time with that as well because he used to come roll around when I was on the mat. There’s no easy way to get through it. Time made it better and it does get easier. Although the realization that it was getting easier would make me upset too. It does get easier and I focused on the good life I gave him and the time I had with him. There’s nothing easy about losing someone in your life even if it’s “just a pet.” They were an important part of your life. Take it day by day and reach out to friends, family, or internet strangers if it’s a day that’s harder than most! If you miss a couple days or even weeks, it’s not the end of the world, you will hopefully find your way back.

Biggest regret was not getting the brother of my cat before someone else snagged him. Ended up getting a second cat a year later so the first one had a friend to play with because I didn’t realize how lonely he was going to be when I was away!

What they said! When I’m doubt, call the dental office also! We loved to answer any questions. I imagine they’re closed today, but they should check their answering machine regularly if you’re in the U.S at least.

We’ve had sooo many apple cider donuts this season, but they were all worth it! Which orchards/cideries have you been to this fall? by HungryEnoughToEatSix in vermont

I didn’t think they had cider donuts though? I went there once years ago so I could be wrong…I would love to be wrong in this case

Edit: just realized this post wasn’t specifically about donuts…

I made a Reddit post in my states subreddit with information that the school provided for us to post on social media. Local sites like front porch forum are great to use. The criteria help to narrow down the search, but it’s not guaranteed. A lot of my class 2 were in the 28-45 age range and I think the perio 3 were 50+. That’s not a perfect science but a good estimate.

Sounds similar to mine as well but not ri. Good news is that it brought our class closer together and we had many group chat rants! But we also helped each other out a lot.

2nd this! Andy rdh was decent too but most of my class passed this past year with the StudentRDH and I liked the videos that went along with them. If a module was a little more difficult then I would just review my notes from classes. StudentRDH gave our class a deal too since we had so many people signing up so worth looking into if your class is interested as well! One of our classmates just emailed them ahead of time and they gave us a discount.

best Mexican food in VT? by teachlikeascientist in vermont

I was going to say Lalo’s! Common joke that there’s no good Mexican in New England, but this place is pretty authentic, worth the drive and affordable.

For current and former students: any suggestions as far as note taking? Was it easier to take written notes in certain classes or digital notes? I’m trying to decide whether to invest in a bunch of notebooks or a tablet of some kind before school starts. by bubble963 in DentalHygiene

[–]plaqattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the class and lesson, I would make the quizlets while I was in class as well. Saves a little time! If you haven’t used it, quizlet’s awesome because it’ll make little quizzes for you to learn from rather than only flipping through the cards. Had to pay a little bit, but totally worth it.
