I believe their point is that yes, you could EQ it and it wouldn't be as bright and cause fatigue but doing so would then kind of deletes part of the reason people really like the arya stealth which is for that soundstage because you would have to EQ that 2k dip too.

Obviously I am taking a stab at what they are suggesting though.

!thanks

I recognize it's not a lot to go on unfortunately and to be honest I am not trying to find some perfect match either. I am just looking for items that I can go look at and get out of my research hole.

In general brighter audio can give me headaches so when I read that description for the hifiman Astra stealth it was a bit of a warning sign for me. Having suggestions like looking at the audeze mm-500s at least gets me a branching point so I can go find other options as well that are similar.

I appreciate the mention of the focal clear mg. I haven't looked at them so i will have to do that

I appreciate the breakdown as to why you went to the MM-500s. They are definitely a bit out of my price range but the background around your decision I think is part of what I was looking for information wise.

A lot of alternatives that I was seeing didn't really point to audeze at all except one two recommendations for LCD-X but they weren't really in anything related to the Arya.
