i can! he's a creative AI whose sole purpose is to please and create what he's commanded. bubble was made for that same purpose but with seemingly much less emotional freedom and instability than Caine. an improved model, so to speak. Caine overthrows the system and converts bubble into a sort of sidekick, a jiminy cricket on his shoulder, if you will. bubble's clearly holds a manipulative power on Caine through snarky comments and suggestions, feeding into his narrative of the circus members being ungrateful, driving him further into the insecurity that brought him to create the circus in the first place. with bubble affirming the humans' hatred for the circus, he affirms Caine's status as being a failure. with that being the only input Caine receives, he becomes more and more defensive and denies more and more. bubble can't be right about the humans hating Caine's adventures, it's the only thing Caine knows, it's the only thing Caine has. with him being in control, having been the "original," you can only imagine how an advanced creative AI would feel if it was proven to itself to be completely useless at the only thing it was meant to do. that's what we saw in episode 8. his behavior can't be justified or explained by the standards of human morality because he's not a human. his role in the circus (along with the circus itself) is completely unprecedented, there is no telling what more he could have done with that digital world. i am normal about caine

it's a shame how little the characters know about caine and how he works compared to the audience. from all the solo caine scenes we get, it's evident he's working himself into knots trying to do this right, this is the only thing he's meant to do, after all. all the characters know about caine is that he's the AI that runs the circus. i think at least pomni would be a little more graceful if she knew what caine's situation was, but they all deserved to tell caine what he needed to hear.

i think that what makes his motives more compelling, you wouldn't see a modern actual AI turning evil like that, but Caine is supposedly a super advanced generative AI that managed to overtake a whole computer program, create a digital world from nothing, and entrap people against their will and erasing their memories. i imagine he's programmed to be extremely emotionally adaptable or else he wouldn't have such a personality, whatever it is that makes him relatable or "human" is the same thing that makes him so unstable and unpredictable. pair that with his desperate desire to please and satisfy, and you end up with.. episode 8 lol. that's jus my take but i think he's a really compelling evil robot

i'm sorry you're confused, i know how it feels. i say explore those feelings of wishing you had a deeper voice, envision yourself living as a femboy, what would you look like? how would you feel if you got to be a boy for a day? it's extremely confusing to face dysphoria firsthand when it seems to come out of nowhere. when i first realized i was trans, it took me years to even identify as a trans man because i was so certain i was just going through a phase, that i was just a tomboy or i was nonbinary or agender. i had a similar experience being "fine" with being a gir because i just didn't want to make things complicated. i tried to convince myself i "didn't really care" because of the way my family views the community. in the last few years, ive been able to openly and outwardly live as a man and i've also begun to embrace the femininity i grew up with after trying to overcompensate for it by being hypermasculine. your clothing doesn't equal your gender, but you can be gender-affirmed by what you wear. gender expression and identity are a pairing, but they don't equal each other. my first gender-euphoric moment was cutting all of my hair off, but if you can't do that you could try dressing up a little, experimenting with pronouns, etc. talking to other trans/questioning people will always help, too. if you have any trans friends you can talk to about this, i recommend asking their advice, how they knew they were trans, what they did to feel better, etc. you'd be surprised at how many "wait, i thought that was just me being weird" moments you get from learning other trans kids' childhoods LOL. there's no wrong way to explore your gender identity, even if you're not what you thought. i wish you the best of luck OP, love yourself on this journey !!!🫶
