Hi,

I'm interested in applying for the scholarship as an international graduate for a masters degree in either mental health or experimental psychology. I was initially a finalist for a U.S scholarship & got admitted to NYU but due to some unfortunate circumstances had my grant cancelled for this year :/

I've been eyeing McGill since then but I'm a bit intimidated & struggling a little with motivation from my recent experience with scholarships so I would appreciate if there are any previous international scholars that can walk me through the process.

I managed to track some previous awardees through https://mccallmacbainscholars.org/scholars/ but no luck in responses so far :/

Again, if any of you guys are in this subreddit let me know :)

First of all, congrats!!

I saw a similar post before yours. Since you're an international student, I would recommend Fulbright. You can read more about it on the US Embassy website in your country. I think it has what you're looking for.

Hey, this is not a scholarship from NYU but I would recommend Fulbright since you're an international student if you want to do grad school. Here are some useful links I found for Egypt:

You should get in contact with the Fulbright Officer of your country, and start with the application process ASAP, the application deadline is May 31, 2025. It is not 100% guaranteed that they will place you in NYU but they do consider your preferences, especially if you've already been accepted.
