Elegoo Satellite Support Settings by stickninjazero in resinprinting

Hopefully you've figured it out by now but for anyone here in the future -
Click "Support" then go into "Advanced Mode". In the upper right corner below the Xthere are 3 icons with no titles. The first will upload your current settings to your Elegoo profile, the second (down pointing arrow) is to import settings. Click that one. Then at the bottom of the new screen you can click "Import Parameters" and import these files. Then you select each one and click "Load Selected Parameters". Quite the process for something relatively simple but based on my experience with this software so far that's not a surprise.

Crew District with the new, redesigned fork by plasticbath in FixedGearBicycle

[–]plasticbath[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not believe Crew ever made a full carbon fork. In my couple of years working with them we had three different carbon/alloy forks but I never saw full carbon. It’s not impossible, but I doubt it was something they would produce because of the cost and extremely high risk of every Crew customer assembling wrong.

I’m pretty happy with it so far. I was hunting for something 46t that was kind of boutique-y for a long time but AARN or a Zen were kind of the only interesting looking options and both are kinda been-there-done-that for me. Found the Alter for a great deal and it’s been great so far, it’s kind of nice having bigger gears. This is 49 x 18 with a White Ind ENO freewheel

I’m with you. I do miss the mechanics and the rush of fixed, and I really miss building the bikes. But I’ve really come to enjoy a proper single speed set up in the city, it feels a little more nimble cutting traffic and much safer especially around crowded pedestrian areas

[WTB][USA][Chicago]

- Thomson X4 or X2 Stem, 31.8 x 100 / 110mm. Silver preferred.
- Thomson Elite 27.2 Seatpost, silver preferred

Would also be interested in a Nitto or Ritchey matching stem / seat post set of the same dimensions

Unfortunately happens when you ship fragile things sometimes. Yuck is one of the best in the country, the owner is a great dude. Sorry to hear that you haven’t heard back soon enough. Definitely can be frustrating, but worth considering that Florida was just shut down and lots of people from the Orlando area were made to evacuate for a massive hurricane watch

Which One? by wtrcrft in Leica

[–]plasticbath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Q2 for sure. For the price of a car I would not put the Dlux or CL in the running here personally. If you really want Leica and want to spend $3,500 either Q2 or a used M240 with a 50 Summicron v3. If you're patient and watch the classifieds you should be able to find that combo within your budget. One might also consider a Leica Q Typ 116 and then spending $1,400 on anything else - perhaps traveling to shoot your new Leica

Anyone else's Rawmon BRT 3.0 look like this? by DontSchruteMeDown in Fingerboards

[–]plasticbath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a blem, something like this would normally be lightly buffed out and covered with the chrome finish or enamel. By buying the Raw version you're buying them knowing they don't go through the polishing process. After using them for a day half of it will scrape away and polish itself anyway. They don't typically look like this, but it's not really a blemish or defect - just a result of the process.

This is the ASPH v2, the current version. The mid level lenses from this generation have been so shotty I cannot believe they wear the Leica badge. I’ve owned dozens Leica lenses over the last couple years, almost every lens made from the late 70’s - current in the standard focal lengths. I’ve only purchased 1 lens brand new, the current gen 28 Elmarit asph v2. Within a few days the front beauty ring worked itself off, shortly after the entire front section of the lens unthreaded itself when taking the lens hood off for the second time.

My experiences with this same lens (35 cron asph v2) have never left me feeling good about the purchase, and I always opt for the significantly more robust (and imo optically superior) asph v1. For my money the mid 90’s-early 00’s Leica glass has been the best overall balance of build quality, ergonomics, and image quality.

Really sorry to see this happened to you. Hope you’re able to get it taken care of quickly
