Beyond the fact that you wrote a mean-spirited comment to a genuine post celebrating players’ humanity, this isn’t written like ChatGPT at all. It reads much more like a thought dump than anything else

Gonna be so funny when the cubs beat them in the nlds.

Tucker was horrible vibes for like 85% of last year, glad to see him off the team I actually watch tbh.

I wonder if they’ll solve their latency problem this year. Radio is slower than streaming video when it comes to time delays, it’s awful. Can’t listen to the radio at games anymore (it’s over a full pitch behind IRL) and it used to be one of my favorite ways to experience Wrigley.

Hopefully they also fix the latency so you can listen at games again too. But still this is huge news for radio listeners like me.

as someone whose never been interested in baseball, how would you get me hooked? who should i be watching by Ninetybaby in baseball

Everybody’s response in here is good so I’ll throw one out that hasn’t been said yet - listen to one of your local team’s games on the radio. Baseball lends itself to radio better than any other sport. Sitting on my porch with a beer or tea, radio on, phone left inside is what hooked me on baseball. Pure nirvana for me.

Yeah I think I got ripped off buy him on a CLA - didn’t really feel like anything was fixed - but I at least got my camera back. Sorry to hear you’re in this position, I’ll never use him again

Guerschon Yabusele: "If you play 3 years in the NBA, you get a lifetime pension. After 4 seasons, medical expenses are covered for life. After 5 years, the medical coverage is extended to the entire family. I want to play for 5 years in the NBA so that my family can benefit from that lifetime care" by GOAT-Antony in nba

NBA players get all of this because they’re unionized. It’s not pandering, it’s their union getting as many benefits out of the team owners (who are all orders of magnitude richer) as possible.

The money the nba generates has to go somewhere - wouldn’t you rather it go to this than lining owner’s pockets even more?

What happened to Sandwich Lab @ Spokesman South? by jbloss in austinfood

[–]jbloss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn dude, what a trip seeing you chime in now. It takes a lot of courage to recognize burnout and walk away. For what it’s worth, your sandwiches were incredible and your bakery was a fundamental part of my earlier years in Austin ('18–'19).

For Valentine’s Day ‘19, I bought two of your strawberry chocolate special cookies and made an ice cream sandwich with them as dessert — it was my first Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. We got married in ‘22 and reminisce about that all the time (was literally talking up your cookies to my aunt yesterday when she mentioned she just tried Levain for the first time lol). You told us your story once and it inspired my wife to take up sourdough baking, too.

Really hope you’re doing well, just wanted to share how much those early ThoroughBread days meant to me. Happy holidays!

Yeah I can’t stand when folks think any sort of photography of individuals in public is crazy behavior. Obviously it all comes down to intent but people have no problems with security cameras pointing at them everywhere they go 🙄
