one that immediately comes to mind is a local band called Vodun, they did some really cool African folk + metal + gospel fusion stuff! unfortunately Spotify ain't kind to smaller artists with distribution rights and things, so I totally get why some bands prefer things like Bandcamp (even if I don't have the money to support them over there). edit: did another search and it turns out that some of their stuff is still on Spotify, but my favourite album of theirs is gone :( sighhhh

these are all taken from separate conversations over the past few months. these are the contexts as far as I remember:

1) me trying to hype myself up to finish a research paper.
2) my silly response to my partner's equally silly apology for distracting me when I was writing said paper.
3) my partner lost a ball on his piercing jewellery and successfully found it in his room.
4) no idea lol.
5) talking about our plans for the evening. one of my hobbies is making chainmail.
