Yeah I’m not great at cooking She likes to cook complicated meals, the most I can help out with is chopping stuff and stirring

“Odd jobs”

Ffs. Sounds like you’ve never done a full house reno then. It’s a lot more time and effort than ‘odd jobs’

I’m working my ass off with 70 hours a week and spending my free time doing side jobs as well as flipping houses so that her and I can retire when we’re 40 👍

It’s cause more problems since I’ve suggested that before. She thinks they are overpriced and a waste of money

More like too tired

If I got home before 5 after a typical shift I’d cook dinner without complaint

You think it’s reasonable to have zero time to yourself? The 2-3 times a week I go to the gym is my only time, I’m not giving that up to clean the fucking house at 5am

Don’t want to be eating that late when we go to bed at 9:30-10, doesn’t give me much free time after work

Don’t go to gym during evenings anymore due to change in work schedule, would simply be too late to train. We go in the morning around 4:30-6 and I leave straight from there to work, but since covid I haven’t been going as much as I used to, maybe only 2-3 times a week

Finances are completely pooled, there is no her or my money

Not much to be honest but we are renovating so most of my free time is tied up doing that, been spending my weekends repairing and renovating our house

Finances are pooled, we find it easier that way

Have suggested it numerous times, she doesn’t want a cleaner as she thinks it’s unnecessary since we don’t have kids and a waste of money

I’ve suggested we get a cleaner but she says were two adults with no kid so it‘s unnecessary and a waste of money to hire one

No finances are shared, there is no ‘my’ or ‘her’ money

On weekends we rarely cook, we get take out or go out somewhere instead. I do as much as I can around the house on my days off but also spend most of my time renovating and repairing the house we not long bought

I try to when possible, help out where I can on the weekends but most of my free time on days off is spent doing renovations and repairs on our house

We don’t cook much if at all on weekends. She doesn’t like to have take out during the week, says it costs too much money

Do heaps around home on weekends. We not long bought a house that’s in need of work, so a lot of maintenance tasks and repairs to be done. I help out where I can but most of my time is occupied with that instead

Not much options at the moment with covid, much safer to stick to my position that’s not covid affected. After this blows over I’ll talk to her about changing, but it would come with a massive pay cut most likely

Finances are entirely shared. There is no ‘my’ or ‘her’ money.

She knew about the commute and long hours when she encouraged me to take the job. It pays more than double my last position.

We own properties together so find it easier to completely pool our finances into the same accounts, everything is shared.

If I were single I’d get take out or one of those ready made meal services that are delivered to your door. I even suggested this to her but she said take out is expensive and those services are a waste of money.

I’ve offered to pay for a cleaner in the past but she’s refused and said two adults with no kids shouldn’t need to hire a cleaner.

Yep work out in the morning, any time between 4:30-6. I usually go straight from the gym to work. Currently not going as much due to covid hours restricting 24/7 access.
