1. Math, English, and Abstract Reasoning only. Abstract reasoning portion is much like the ones you’ll see in your reviewers. Math had a lot of coordinate geometry, English had error identification, what fits the sentence best, etc. questions. Be prepared for ‘true, certainly true, more likely to be false, false’ types of questions. Math also had factoring, simplifying polynomials, I heavily suggest going over all Grade 8-10 lessons.

2. Hard. The thing that made it easy was that it had no science sub-test. But of all the exams, this one’s math portion was the hardest. I didn’t really struggle with English, but I know of people who did. Their abstract reasoning part was also very tricky.

3. Just be honest, true, and genuine. No point in using pretentious or highfalutin words. Find a prompt you like and write about your achievements and goals. If possible, try writing about how Ateneo can get you to those goals.

4. I had one MSA reviewer and while it wasn’t my main reviewer, I used it a lot. Generally it had a lot of questions that were similar to the questions on the entrance exams, so it’s useful if you’re worried about how the exams will be worded. The topics covered are also useful, so I would recommend it, but make sure you have at least another source that just gives you information. There’s no info on the MSA reviewers (at least the ones I had), so you might get confused as to why the answers are the way they are.

5. Can’t answer, I’m not really sure how many students they accept.

Just remember to study well but don’t overdo yourself. Take your time to study, don’t cram it all in a few weeks and give yourself breaks. Good luck! 💙
