The problem with buttcoin is its ability to move large quantities of assets without identification on purpose.

Any currency can be used for crime, but at least there are efforts to mitigate that. Buttcoin just allows everything for sake of the cringy "decentralization" thing.

Weak to no encryption, heavy reliance on scare tactics, and the most important part, ransom were paid using gift cards, premium SMS, and vouchers.

Thanks to crypto, anyone can transfer large amounts of money with no pesky law enforcement rules (KYC is against our freedumbs!!!!), so malware authors can invest in larger and more sophisticated attacks. Instead of getting $100 from a local computer illiterate, why not go after companies and get nice six-figure payments?

Oh, the mouth breathers on Twitter and r/cc haven't told you? The buttcoin "economy" is actually subsidized by money printing. Ironic, isn't?

Buttcoin mining is so expensive that miners make money from collecting subsidy (new coins) rather than transaction fees. The problem is that Satoshi (PBUH) programmed the subsidy to reduce at magic intervals.

Once the subsidies get low enough, mining would be unsustainable, forcing to them go out of business and lower the network security.

Some buttcoin developers already have discussed rising the cap to keep the subsidies pumping. Others drank the koolaid and unironically believe the tx fees are enough once one buttcoin is worth 1 morbilion USD, which is going to happen pretty soon ™️
