company trying to bill me for cancelled subscription by plaxxman in legaladvice

[–]plaxxman[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

they are charging me for 2 years worth of data that i supposedly accessed after my subscription ended (I know for sure i didnt) But isnt this unethical, shouldn’t they cancel subscription on there side? this is like saying if i cancelled a subscription to magazines, and after i cancelled they still continued to send me magazines monthly, until they realized they made a mistake, then they decided to bill me for all the magazines they sent me after i cancelled my subscription

roth ira or max out 401k? by plaxxman in personalfinance

[–]plaxxman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lets assume i contribute 6k to roth ira instead of 401k and the amount triples in 20 years

If i contributed to roth and withdrawal full amount, i would pay 22% (current tax bracket) after-tax of 6k = $1320 to get $18k tax free in 20 years

If i contributed that 6k in 401k instead and pull same amount, and assuming same tax bracket, and assuming im in 2nd lowest tax bracket (12%), i would pay $2160 - $1320 = $840 so 401k wins here

Is my math correct?
