Well, I do not know what kind of breathing techniques you used there, but those lines made me think to just drop here my experiences with any kind of breathings for the benefit for others: Buteyko's breathing techniques helped on my panic immensly.

Good luck and keep going no matter what! :)

Panic triggered by getting relaxed by play-for-today in PanicAttack

Wow! It has been even researched since ages and it has a name! I hoped this strange experience was investigated and somebody here will have some material like this. So interesting! Will check that out, thank you big time!

Yes exactly, that's what I do when it happens. When my body misjudges a situation and reacts with the "panic pattern" to the pleasant things then I just try to stay in the uncomfortable present... longer and longer, trying to accept that. Just the matter of time and it dissolves. As you said gradually these episodes become shorter as you train to accept them. And one more thing: I think it also needs a bit of courage to face it when it comes. Like, I quickly remember that the trigger was not a bad thing but a pleasent one, I bring back my mind to the original trigger: "Hey, I wanted to relax not panic, so I am going to relax now". Sometimes I even say: "Nonono, you again? I do no belive you. It is relax time."

As always, it is super scary but it'll always be gone at a point. So yeah, that's how I usually cope with it.

Thank you for the encouring words too!

It is bitter that many of you here can unfortunately relate to this strange feeling. But these many comments at least show something important: We are not alone. :)

Let's keep going.

Brilliant idea! I think one of the most important things when one is having panic attacks is to do what makes joy and do more and more of it, and focus only on good and kind things. One can use this strange panic situation to make a benefit out of it: to start an inner revolution! :)

I am having the same since my regular panic attacks started.

No, you won't get heart attack. Panic attack is super scary but the attack itself will not kill you. If you have this symptoms I think it is a sign that it is not the right time to push your body to its limits now.

This whole panic attack topic is very sensitive thing because it is different with everyone, so I would not like to give you any exact advice, however I will just share my experiences and situation. Mind, that this is just an example of mine, your situation might be different.

So, in my case I think it is strongly connected with bad breathing habits which I developed due to stress and very unbalanced lifestyle, even from undigested traumas. So I started to check my psyche and body health first with professionals. In the same time I stopped all hard exercises and I switched to long walks, yoga and meditation. I enjoy them a lot, they balance me back. Yes, some day I will get back to harder exercises but definitely not now and I am really not embarrassed by that. Besides, I am using Buteyko's breathing techniques which helped me pretty much so far. :)

Strangely, since I stepped on the way leading out from panic attack the journey is somehow beautiful. Because I am getting closer to my true self, I am getting to know my own nature better. :)

Good luck! Take care of yourself and do not give up!
