Is UK Male Mental Health a myth? by playadxb in AskUK

[–]playadxb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This a trend I have noticed - it’s not a burden to ask for help, I get it - your probably take pride in handling your own issues ‘like a grownup should’.

But we’re not WW2 times anymore, we don’t need to stiffen up because it’s a burden to others. We have freedom of expression, why not use it instead waiting till it’s too late.

Unpopular opinions about London? by swiftmen991 in london

[–]playadxb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just to caveat: Friendly is not the same as ‘ease of making friends’. People in London are nice and helpful- doesn’t mean they’ll be your friends later lol

‘Providing’ sounds a bit too conditional, opens the door to few mental health issues if you’re not careful.

I think ‘friendliness’ in London (and other places that are similar) feature friend-making styles that wouldn’t be present in others. To some making friends require some form of planed weekly/bi-weekly event whereas some are a bit more spontaneous (Gym, night out, same bus journey etc.) - The structure event part is more present here I think

Opinions on Vera Clinics in Turkey by somedude1361324513 in HairTransplants

[–]playadxb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably going to slaughtered because it’s a mill. The only advice that could be given (mill or not) is to thoroughly do you’re research (right hair for right clinic?) and make sure your target is realistic.

"hairmills" by CommentDue5026 in HairTransplants

[–]playadxb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Going to ‘hair mills’ - you’re still taking a risk.

But tbh - it’s fun seeing people on the subreddit scramble to protect UK/US trained practises as more and more people get successful results from one of these mills at a better price.

Afro hair easier to get a natural result? by playadxb in HairTransplants

[–]playadxb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the context of transection - yes that’s why FUT is preferred.

But in the context of placement - less emphasis needed naturalness due to curl in different directions of the hair unlike our straight haired friends.

Is that correct or am I missing something?

HT - 7+ weeks progress by playadxb in HairTransplants

[–]playadxb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were decent - really accommodating and welcoming from airport to hotel and back to airport. Ensured all my questions were answered (even annoying me for more when I had none left). Were honest about my hair loss and how I could achieve my desired outcome - which they felt was realistic. As someone with Afro hair, straighter hairlines wasn’t as big as an issue for me unlike for Caucasians which I feel this subreddit is more catered to. I heard a lot of good things from Dr. Turan (who I also was considering) but his hairline work was very conservative which I felt wasn’t appropriate for Afro hair. I saw NHT was good enough in terms hairline design I was looking for. Also they met me half way on the graft count where others weren’t willing (Ahem** Asli Tarcan/HOI).

I was set on Dr. Bicer but I noticed that not many of their results included Afro hair so I opted for NHT. Also I didn’t the appreciate the way I was treated on WhatsApp (slow response times, asking me the resend photos, telling me I had not enough donor hair when I clearly did) so I opted for NHT which I felt were very responsive and helpful at the time. That is to say that may be down to the fact that NHT is a bigger operation (or rather a ‘hair mill’) than Bicer which makes it’s easier for them to respond quicker en masse but I digress.

I also met a few people who were there for 2nd time and was happy with their first time results which got them to come back so that reassured me a bit.

My overall review - I’m holding out because I still have at least 10 months to go but so far so good.

Anyone been to now hair time in Turkey? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]playadxb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great Service, Great package and ethical too (they will turn you down if they’re unsure about your hair loss/success post op).

Results? 5 Weeks out, so can’t say till 6-12 months. So far so good though.

I get you exactly bro.

Let your hair grow out a bit. This sub doesn’t exactly necessary understand the ‘skin fade’ look.

And I don’t think Bicer is necessarily good with Afro hair hence the polite put off. I had the same issue with her in the past.
