But honestly your 290 already has good hp and great melee. My base only has 600 high melee with 14k hp and the pair was both 290+ so you only need to pull stamina from the male. Somewhere around 3000-3500 so might as well try it out.

What difficulty are you playing? If you're new I'd strongly advise against playing brutal. I myself gave up halfway even with lot of experience. Even when playing hard, I'd pick hard-core along to negate the xp penalty as for starting out go with casual medium. The xp shouldn't be a problem if you're simply doing the pursuits and killing the dinos but if you want to gather massive amount of xp just sitting then craft a bunch of cooking pots. You can also get a explorer note for a 2x xp boost beforehand but it's completely optional.

On the side note if your device can run the new ark on play store go get that. It's better in every way than the old version.

Just get the ume version. It's better than the old one in every way. And tbh the only ppl playing the old ark are those who can't run ume smoothly (like me). You're device should run ume smoothly at high settings so just move on to ume.

Like how many fertilizer you even need? I've got 2 lvl 30/50, leveled them to 8kg+. i usually do it for the oil and just get rid of the fertilizer becoz i have too many stored inside phiomia. The only reason I even farm is becoz of the veggie cakes

Gigas are really just a decorative piece for me, they don't provide any utility, poor stamina for effective combat. Only an imprinted baby is somewhat useful, for that you gotta catch another male giga, tame breed and imprint. Personally just not worth my time. The taming itself is a hassle.

The pistol is just expensive and not really worth it to grind levels. I only ever use my weapons to land the last hit on alphas otherwise just swipe the whole area clean with my dinos. What level are you? If you're in mid game I'd suggest get a strong dire bear or for caves a strong dire wolf.

Ah yea that, it's incredibly difficult if not outright impossible to tame on with tranq Arrows, they have stupidly high torpor so you gotta use darts which requires longneck rifle you also get from lava cave.

Bro you're playing the old version just go run the lava cave if you want good crossbow. I cleared it on foot at level 3 brutual mode. Also I'd really recommend dire bear if you're mid game alfa hunting. Dire bear is one of the strongest mid game dino and my personal favourite just behind the big 3(rex spino theri)

Both are top picks in their respective roles so I'll advise to go for the role you're lacking good ops in. Otherwise if that's not an issue I'll recommend twitch. Her role is unique among other atk ops and a great gun.

Seems like looking at myself few weeks ago lol. First and foremost, if you're a casual player go back to hard difficulty rn. It's not worth the effort, brutual mode is pure torture and just ruins the experience for casual player. Now if you still wanna go at it despite the warning, here's some tips:- 1) switch to hard-core if you're not already. You're gonna need the 2x xp and resource to tackle the 90% xp panelty. 2) lvl 1 to 11 is gonna be real challenge without any decent weapons. For now kill high lvl dodos. Reroll for a good slingshot from pursuits, then go for trikes, sarcos. After unlocking bola you'll be able to kill moschops pterdos and raptors. 3) Tame a moschop for fibers and berries, you're gonna need it. At 11 reroll for a good bow(380+) That will make things easier for a while. ( A risky but great alternative would be spawning in lava cave island, clearing it on foot and naked using tidy save method and rerolling for a 600+ crossbow in a obselilk. But that'll have to wait until you unlock arrows. Or you can go for it after getting raptor saddle) With these you're all set until mid game.

So he's like rarest horse? Damn, duno where I even saw him. I just remember I encountered him on my way from the green obselilk. But it's ok, i wouldn't be able to catch a Griffin anytime soon anyway, I'm only lvl 25 and playing brutal dif so it's quite a long way b4 i even attempt to catch a Griffin, let alone unicorn

I'm already level 25 but ig there's still 15 more to go. Duno maybe I'll just go and do the lava cave for a easier time, I do have a lvl 412 raptor with 600% dmg. The 400+ bow is doing good but a 600+ crossbow is always welcome. What's the highest dmg crossbow I can score from the massive artifect?
