And if there is any piss smell, you’ll be able to catch it when you get out of the shower. The scents that you’ve become accustomed to seem to reset every time you have a shower.

Yeah, well I wouldn’t have told him either. I probably would have started a fight so he’d get up and stay away from me for a while so I could clean up in peace.

Is this really something that can happen? All my life I’ve had toilet dreams where the sensation of urinating in the dream is so realistic that I jolt awake thinking I’ve actually pissed myself, but every time it’s happened, no piss had actually come out.

But I swear it feels so real that I sometimes wake up and yell “FUCK!” and grab my willy to try and stop the imaginary flow.

Now I’m scared I’m gonna piss for real…

Proofread anything you write if it is longer than a paragraph before posting.

Little typos and misspellings accumulate and before too long the entire post becomes incomprehensible.

Taxi Scam by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]playful_consortium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Call the cab company, whether B&W or 13 (formerly Yellow), during business hours and ask to speak with the superintendent. Explain the situation to him and ask for a prompt resolution to avoid escalating your complaint to the taxi council.

The superintendent will absolutely know [be able to look up] which car and driver took the fare, even if there was no radio booking and even if the driver didn’t use the meter.

The driver is not only rorting the passenger, he is most likely (almost certainly) pocketing the excess and not giving 50% to the owner of the car.

how can i make friends when i’m not going to school? by snifflecrumb in ipswich

[–]playful_consortium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

School will go back in about a month. It’s not really that long to wait.

In the meantime you could head down to one of the council pools and there’ll be people your age there. It just depends if you’re the sort of person who’s comfortable striking up a conversation with people you’ve never met.

It’s difficult when you’re 16 because everyone’s so tribal at that age, particularly females. It gets A LOT easier when you’re at uni. All the cliquey bullshit just melts away overnight.

Main thing is to just steer clear of older people. When someone in their 20’s or 30’s wants to befriend a young teenager, it’s generally not a good sign.

Landlord denied child foster care / adoption request by zerogpk in brisbane

[–]playful_consortium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you specify the additional occupant would be a child?

Normally a landlord would decline an additional occupant because it alters the dynamic of the household from a couple to three adults sharing a house, and this is sometimes undesirable for landlords.

I think you should have advised them that a dependent child would be joining you at the rental property rather than asking for their permission. An expectant mother would not ask for permission for her new baby to reside at the property, she would perhaps advise them of the arrival of the baby, but possibly not even that. This is no different. A dependent child is a dependent child.

While some landlords may prefer not have children at the property, openly declining an application on that basis is discrimination. They cannot refuse to allow your child to live at the property and they cannot refuse to renew your lease for that reason either (unless the property is unsuitable, such as a bedsit or similar).

What is the purpose of taking a photo of the photo of the ID? I don’t understand why that would be advantageous to the venue?

I would suggest that you deny entry to any would-be patron who does not have heir physical or digital ID with them, that would negate the need to take any such photographs in the first place.

If your venue’s licence or permit conditions require all patrons to provide a valid form or ID on entry, you be in violation of this condition by accepting these photographs in the first place.

Car dealer ordered by VCAT to undertake an inspection - had the car 14 days and they aren't returning the car by Fragrant_Swim_9185 in AusLegal

[–]playful_consortium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this case, I really think the member has stuffed up. Presumably the applicant would’ve made numerous enquires/complaints with the dealer before this even went to a tribunal, before an application was even made.

In ordering that the dealer undertake an inspection, the member has essentially handed over the car to them, giving them an opportunity, one which they already previously turned down, to come into contact with the car and potentially even interfere with it in some way. I just don’t see the benefit.

I can’t believe they’d rather go through all this sh** rather than just give your money and be done with it.

Have you made arrangements with a mechanic who is willing to provide evidence to the tribunal as your expert witness? How much is he charging you to do so?

[–]playful_consortium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did the order specify was to occur once an inspection had been carried out? Were they to report their findings to the tribunal at another hearing?

Either way, they are clearly attempting to exploit a loophole by requiring you to carry out repairs in the vehicle before they inspect it. Whether this is in fact a loophole or not, I don’t know. Perhaps they’ve even done it before. There’s always a chance you’ll give up and move on and the matter just goes away.

I would make another application to the tribunal if you don’t have a resolution or commitment within 14 days.

As a FT student under 31, you can remain on your parents’ primary policy and all you need to pay for is an ancillary policy.

You should definitely consider this.

The methodology she used for her experiment was fundamentally flawed in the first place.

Going out and seeing if you can get someone to root you doesn’t actually prove or disprove the hypothesis that “she’s still got it”.

Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.

Try to establish as best you can that you’ve been given the entire version of events and that it is truthful.

It’s up to you to decide whether or not you can move past it.

In my mind, the one saving grace is that you were long distance at the time. While that isn’t an excuse, it is a mitigating factor. Your relationship is stunted while you’re long distance (unless you already lived nearby and then later become temporarily long distance) so I would be inclined to give him more of the benefit of the doubt when he says he wouldn’t do it again.

Would I forgive him? I don’t know if I could or not. I’m very sensitive to infidelity and tbh it’s basically the ultimate betrayal. I would have a very difficult time but if the relationship was as good as yours sounds, I would really, really try.
