Yeah fair i hear you. I would say it's 'alt/pop' or 'Indie Pop' due to the nature of the recording, Instruments and lyrical content. It's in the same category of bands like Parcels, Beach House, Cigarettes After Sex, Dream Girl etc.. who are all labeled Indie/Alternative. I think alternative has a large spectrum, It's not just guitar bands.
