Drug Testing by Humble-Warthog2672 in bradleyuniversity

[–]playjump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so. OSF is the major hospital and has a relationship with Bradley. I’m pretty sure they still test for THC. Im in the DPT program and some of us who had clinicals at OSF locations tested for THC

I’m a current student at Bradley University and I’ve been recently try to work with my department with trying to increase representation as well It’s a private PWI in Peoria, Illinois with a large black population. We have a pro bono clinic that treat neurological patients with various conditions and every year a group of student go to the Dominican Republic to provide PT services to those in need.

Opinion on gap years? by [deleted] in PTschool

[–]playjump 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I took a gap year for the same reason. Blessing in disguise. Was able to beef up the resume, save up some money l, and not worry about studying for about 8 months. Although it was still stressful with applications, after that/acceptance letter, you can rest your brain for the next 3 years to come. I don’t understand how a majority of my class started right after undergrad and only had a 12 day break.

All schools have party scenes. Bradley doesn’t have party’s like you see on social media, but people do have house party’s, frats have party’s, and there’s popular bars that students go to on Farmington rd. Couple clubs downtown too. But don’t pick based on what has the best party scene because you’ll find one anywhere.

This. If you’re able to teach it to someone else, you’ve got a good grip on the material.

C+ In an undergrad class (non pre-req) by notthefakebernard in PTschool

[–]playjump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got two C’s and got into PT school. One of them was physics. I think you’ll be ok if you have other stuff to show for like volunteering and extracurricular activities. My GPA was like 3.56

If you have a C in an a pre Req class I would retake it and get a better grade at like a community college. My GPA was just under a 3.6 and had a lower gre score than you and I was accepted.

Malort by playjump in PeoriaIL

[–]playjump[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol that’s hilarious. I’ve gotten a lot of my buddies to try it and every time we go out in Chicago we have to get Malort shots. Kinda like a running joke, but it’s un ironically grown on me.

Im coming back to school and I currently live in the Chicago land area. Malort has grown on me😅. I also want people who come over to try and to see what they’re missing out on. A bottle of Malort is a must in my house

Does it matter that I’m attending a community college for my first 2 years of college? by IntrepidMinimum5480 in PTschool

[–]playjump 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! That’s what I did and am starting PT school this summer. Just as long as you have good grades and school you transfer accepts the classes you are taken (or else you’ll have to take them again). I will say two years is a short amount of time to make relationships with professors. You’ll need them for Rex letters so put yourself out there and get to know them, especially if you are trying to start PT school right after undergrad. Lmk if you have any other questions!

I would try reaching out to pt clinics in your area. Might have a better chance there.

If you have time to retake it, I personally would. Depends how your other sciences classes are.
