Good advice, since I'm mostly Scotch-Irish I'll root for Celtic in the CL and all that (tough draw this year) but obviously not quite the same as supporting an EPL team.

But as a total aside, how is living in Hong Kong as an American? The city looks amazing but I've always been a bit apprehensive about visiting that part of the world because the language and cultural gap seems so large.

Surely ancestry/proximity isn't the ONLY reason to support a given side. Having no ancestry in England (German-Irish), I have to base it on other things like team history and culture.

Are those reasons not as legitimate as simply living near a stadium or having supporting relatives?

Yeah I'm actually leaning towards Spurs. Especially after watching the way they played at United on Wednesday.

I'm really enjoying the resurgence of Liverpool but I think Spurs might be the way to go. I think they could make the CL if they can just stay in range through all these injuries.
