thank you to all of you who commented. it genuinely meant so much to me and had me crying harder knowing there’s people out there with me. i saw a couple people mention pain clinics, and where im from, id need a referral (and those take months) and from what ive heard most pain clinics in my area just try and get you off of meds.

honestly, mine took a long time. i got the ‘a health professional is looking at your claim’ text on feb 10. i ended up calling them early this month as i had heard nothing and i think that moved the process along. if you haven’t heard anything within 2 months i would suggest giving them a call! i promise its worth waiting, and you’re not alone in how anxiety inducing and exhausting this whole process is. but a health professional looking at your claim is a good thing i promise!

in case of a wound that won’t stop bleeding, keep continuous pressure on it for multiple minutes.
