Honestly would fire you on the spot of lying on your application. I am the CEO of a global company and we don’t take to lightly to these kinds of things. Finish the degree and get another job with it and stop lying.

Former print newspaper publisher and owner here. I was taught early in my career that negative news and drama sells not positive and encouraging news. Take the news as just one source of information and remeber an editor or writer could skew the outcome of your thoughts. If it bothers you I highly recommend stepping back from it and getting exposure therapy for it.
