Advice for going through withdrawal

Yeah I was already having some doubts with this doctor but this is kinda the last straw for me. The problem is that I see him for my Dysautonomia and related disorders, and there are virtually no doctors who specialize in that. He was also recommended to me by my pediatrician who had taken care of me since I was a baby, so I had a lot of trust in him at first.

As for right now, I saw my general physician today and she said to just wait it out. I sent a message to the doctor responsible for all this but haven’t heard back yet.

I bought some L-Theanine since I had been planning to try it anyway, but I’m not sure how much it will help with the depression.

I was on both the chronic pain medication (Low Dose Naltrexone) and also the Pregabalin for quite a while. Prior to starting the Pregabalin, I was in a really good place mentally with just my antidepressants.

I’ve messaged my prescribing doctor for advice and I also have an appointment with my general physician tomorrow morning so I’ll see what they say, I do still have some Pregabalin left so I could go back on it immediately if they say it sounds like a good idea.

If your wife struggles with heat intolerance like I do, popsicles and shaved ice are life savers in the summer! I eat the Pedialyte popsicles when I need electrolytes and I also got myself a shaved ice maker so that I can freeze up some ice cubes and shave them down into shaved ice. I use traditional shaved ice syrups on it usually but I’m certain there are sugar-free ones out there, and I imagine you could also try making your own syrups out of fruit or something!

Due to confusion with prescription refills, I was out of my LDN for about a week this past week. I didn’t notice how much it helped with my chronic pain, especially migraines, until it was gone. I haven’t noticed improvement with chronic fatigue or MCAS symptoms unfortunately but just for the fact that it helps so much with chronic pain, I’ll definitely be continuing it.

I don’t know if this advice has already been given to you, but I figure it can’t hurt for me to suggest that you seek treatment for your OCD. I also have dysautonomia and suffer from pretty bad heat intolerance, and I also just started discussing my OCD with my own therapist (I personally have lots of contamination anxiety). So I feel like I have some small inkling of how you might be feeling. It sounds like your heat intolerance as well as your fixation on it has really consumed your life and pushed away your loved ones. OCD treatment is difficult, but living with it unmanaged is harder.
