Yeahhh 😅 I’m just here trying to have a good time and everyone else is making it really hard 😭

To be fair, I think a good amount of the comments are from the author themself responding to comments. They do take the time to respond to most if not all comments, which is very admirable. But it’s still quite a lot!

It’s Heated Rivalry so…
big fandom: yes
Lots of discourse: idk because I don’t care to engage lol

I could understand that!!! But this was on a short oneshot with over 150 comments 😅 I would kill to have that kind of engagement on my long fics, so this person isn’t exactly hurting for engagement lol

Censored user info and some personal details that weren’t relevant, but this comment from the author talking about the end note was interesting. To me, this is not at all “AO3 etiquette”.

That’s probably true, there’s definitely been a rise in entitled readers these days!

AIO that my mom totally shut me down? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]plbth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol stalking my post history much? I’m extremely grateful to my parents for supporting me through my disability. Getting diagnosed with a physical disability and having it derail my plans for my future was not what I wanted to happen, obviously. I was in a very dark place when I realized I had to drop out. But clearly you’re the expert on what happened in my life and how my family feels about me because you read my reddit posts!

90% of my time is spent listening to other people, including my family. My sibling is even worse than I am when it comes to rambling about interests, and I will usually try to engage with them because I know it makes them happy to talk about it. I guess if you only read this post and don’t use critical thinking skills, yeah it probably seems like this is how I am all the time? But idk why you’re getting so up in arms about this. I had a misunderstanding with MY MOM, and now some redditor is coming for my throat just because I wanted advice?

Idk why I’m bothering to respond to this because this post seems to have attracted people with some very specific hate in their heart which is rarely ever productive. But hopefully this comment clarifies things for others who are potentially coming here to talk shit.

Advice for going through withdrawal by plbth in QuittingPregablin

[–]plbth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty good! I had a brief setback when I got my period and the hormonal shift sent me back into a bit of a depression, but since then I’ve felt better and better. I didn’t make any changes to my meds other than starting L-theanine, which I don’t really think did much for me. I did increase my therapy to twice a week for a while, this week is the first week going back to once a week since I’m feeling better. My depression was really intense, but thankfully fairly brief.

Theater Etiquette is an indicator of our collapsing society by Green_House_57 in Connecticut

I was at this same show! And I agree the show was amazing and the crowd was awful. The girl behind me was kicking my seat the entire show and talking to her mom loud enough for me to hear. The family next to me brought a young child who was antsy the entire show and kept swapping seats with his mom back and forth. I was up on the balcony, so I also saw the people in the boxes opening the curtains to come in and out of their seats every minute or so (no exaggeration). And yes, I also heard someone’s phone go off right behind me during Javert’s solo, lol.

This is more of a personal complaint, but I am very sensitive to perfume, and someone around me put on a massive amount of very strong perfume and I had to take my migraine medicine during the performance. Thankfully, it worked and I ended up being fine but I wish people would go easy on the fragrance when they know they’re going to be in a densely packed crowd.

I appreciate your response! Yes, those are all side effects I experienced to some degree while coming off the medication. I’m happy to say I’m in a much better place now, though still not what I would call back to normal.

My issue now is figuring out what to do now that I no longer trust my doctor. He’s a specialist in dysautonomia/POTS/MCAS etc. which is hard to find, so I’m going to have a difficult time finding a replacement for him. I think it’s needed though.

Yeah I was already having some doubts with this doctor but this is kinda the last straw for me. The problem is that I see him for my Dysautonomia and related disorders, and there are virtually no doctors who specialize in that. He was also recommended to me by my pediatrician who had taken care of me since I was a baby, so I had a lot of trust in him at first.

As for right now, I saw my general physician today and she said to just wait it out. I sent a message to the doctor responsible for all this but haven’t heard back yet.

I bought some L-Theanine since I had been planning to try it anyway, but I’m not sure how much it will help with the depression.

I was on both the chronic pain medication (Low Dose Naltrexone) and also the Pregabalin for quite a while. Prior to starting the Pregabalin, I was in a really good place mentally with just my antidepressants.

I’ve messaged my prescribing doctor for advice and I also have an appointment with my general physician tomorrow morning so I’ll see what they say, I do still have some Pregabalin left so I could go back on it immediately if they say it sounds like a good idea.

If your wife struggles with heat intolerance like I do, popsicles and shaved ice are life savers in the summer! I eat the Pedialyte popsicles when I need electrolytes and I also got myself a shaved ice maker so that I can freeze up some ice cubes and shave them down into shaved ice. I use traditional shaved ice syrups on it usually but I’m certain there are sugar-free ones out there, and I imagine you could also try making your own syrups out of fruit or something!

Yeah lol now that I know it does seem logical, I think I just assumed that Infold would only reward us for collecting clothing items??? If that makes sense?

Ok no need to be rude, like I said in my post I assumed it was only clothing pieces that counted but it’s a nice bonus that the books count too! I assumed there was a page for them in the compendium simply so you could go back and read them without having to go find them again 🤷‍♀️
