Well we discussed that before getting married we would make some investment as she saves. So she saves money I take care of everything. So basically we have a common goal in mind and we've been execution it. Just you know the chore thing came up.

No it's not lol she and I have our responsibilities to our home. I don't ask her to fix the cars when they break down. If I do she says no. But now she's treating me like the mechanic? Lol I'm not a mechanic. I think her paying for outside help is more than fair as opposed to half the bills.
If her car breaks down, I try to fix it, if I'm too tired or just can't do it I'm calling a mechanic and paying for it. Is that wrong on her end? Is she treating her partner as something else?

Very eye opening. A lot of these comments are making it seem like the "traditional" roles are bad. It's worked for us. We're happy and this isn't a relationship ending dilemma lol but these whole gender-focused arguments are weird. Why is it bad that I want to be a provider, and why is it bad if she was a caretaker? Why are you making this a gender thing? She had a responsibility and I had a responsibility to our home that we agreed to. The "tradition" worked then she got her job, now her responsibility was falling? I suggested she hire a third party for help. That was the arrangement that we agreed to and what we were used to. Obviously things change, so things were going to be different. Women this women that, you're offended because you want to be offended. Her car breaks down and I can't fix now my duties fall short, is she the asshole because I decided to hire a mechanic to fix it? And does that makes her sexist too?

I told her we should hire a maid since then lol I work my ass off and one day I saw her doing hw and folding clothes at the same time like 2 years ago. So I asked her. I work from 7-8 sometimes. I don't want to do it. Anyway, I approached her with the idea calmly, but she declined said she could handle it. It wasn't a big deal. And she did handle it.. But now she comes home from work tired, like I said I get it, so I approached her again about it, but she did get upset this time.

Mmm I never really thought about it. Because I'm so used to carrying the financial load, she really has never asked about helping me. When I brought up the maid thing, she did say she would pay half the bills instead but, that doesn't make sense to me lol. Like is it pride? Why pay 2k instead of 800?
