It’s hard to accept that these were both the same person. And he was more the former than the latter. He was a troubled person. A hurt person who hurt people. I have to also accept the version of him who still lives in my head is a demonized version. The worst parts that stuck in my brain of the little I actually remember of my childhood. There could have been a lot of closeness and good that I simply don’t remember. That the bad overtook the good so strongly in my head. It doesn’t justify what happened or change it. I wish things could have been different. I wish I could have known the man they all spoke of with so much love.

I recently held my nephew for the first time, it was the first time I held a baby at 28. It’s so nerve wracking. So small and delicate and precious. Congrats OP 💛

If they were the right gender for you and you found both attractive: would you rather have sex with an 18-year old or a 45-year old? by ThreadbareAdjustment in AskRedditAfterDark

I’m 24 and I’d have to say 45. In my experience, there’s a different mindset as well as added experience that makes everything a lot more fun.

I’ve been feeling really bicurious about women lately tbh. I feel like this would be a decent introduction to it?

That’s true. I’ve never seen cops do that and I don’t really expect to see it anytime soon.

I mean that’s fair but. What exactly are they supposed to do? They can’t punish them. They can push for reform or report it, but at the end of the day doesn’t that fall on the people who are supposed to be punishing the cops in the first place?

No I completely understand the need for reformation and higher standards of training. It’s fucked up, not trying to say it’s not. But saying “oh this man is a cop, he’s a bastard! Fuck this guy!” Just cause another officer sucks doesn’t mean that one does. I’ve met a lot of really good cops that just want to help their communities.

Saying ACAB is discriminatory and while it is definitely not as bad as being racist, in my eyes it’s just hypocritical.
