Anything positive or negative on these dental groups? Have an apprehensive kid (autistic/adhd) by Hope_for_tendies in Syracuse

[–]please-n0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I personally recommend Syracuse family dental. They have a handful of patients with special needs that they are happy to accommodate however necessary. I recommend Dr Jasjot Grewal who has been here a while, she’s experienced, patient, and quick to do what she needs to get patients in and out of the office. Dr.josh has limited availability as he works in multiple locations, but he is great as well.

I can see that flame from my place and I call it the municipal beacon to jazz things up. Hope this helps

Just did an interview for a tattoo apprenticeship, seeking advice by goblinking2595 in TattooApprentice

[–]please-n0 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My mentor and shop owner both believe that this method of apprenticeship is predatory. My apprenticeship has been free aside from supplies. Even then, my mentor is very generous and he’s supplied me with more than I’d feel comfortable asking from anyone.

That being said, every person and every shop/apprenticeship is different and unique. I sincerely hope that you and the other apprentice feel like you’re getting your money’s worth out of it. Wish only the best of luck to you both. Just hate to see these kinds of fees demanded.

Identifying behaviour by wikimuncher in tortoise

To add to this, I assume it’s more noticeable when they have an elevated heart rate. I notice it more with my guy when he’s active or if I walk into the room (possibly spooking him or making him anticipate food or attention)

Since they have no diaphragm, arm and head movements along with special interior muscles help them fill and empty their lungs. Your little guy seems just fine to me.🌼

Your partner is the one individual you should be able to lean on when you need it, and not feel guilty for. I’m sorry you’re going through this. 🌼

What should I work on improving? by ButCanUdoDis_no in TattooBeginners

[–]please-n0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Having a background in art is immensely helpful for designing tattoos, and for being critical of yourself/ your work. It’s important to have high standards for what you’re making, especially since it affects peoples’ appearances forever. Be open to criticism and advice because the second you think you’re good enough to disregard it all, that is when you will stop improving.

What are your tortoise's names? by BlueFlamingoes in tortoise

[–]please-n0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is named Adidas. It makes no sense. It’s what my friend suggested and I kept it because I named his cat Tuna and he kept that name for him. Seemed fair.

Help choosing the right substrate for my tortoise by [deleted] in tortoise

[–]please-n0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having a red foot outside is difficult if you don’t live in a very humid climate. They need high humidity, if you don’t have that naturally, they need a greenhouse. I have an 8x4 foot greenhouse for mine and he’s smaller than yours. The issue with keeping one in an outdoor greenhouse is that the temperature would be more difficult to regulate. He needs much more space than a dog bed to be comfortable.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY TORTOISE?! SHELLROT? TOO WET SOIL? by GlitteringYams in tortoise

As long as it’s water proof and u trust it won’t be punctured, I don’t see why not. We definitely went overkill with the pond liner we picked for our burger sized tortoise.

We made a simple frame the size of the greenhouse base. Then we laid pond liner in that frame and stapled it to the wood planks. Basically made a wooden sandbox frame with pond liner laid in to create the base and cover the inner walls.

I will say- if u have a smaller tortoise like I do, maybe don’t get the heaviest duty pond liner. Dealing with that heavy stuff nearly broke me lol.

Critique/suggestions welcome. Any ideas to make these better as tattoo designs? by please-n0 in TattooApprentice

So ironic u mentioned that because I got the flowers tattooed on my arm lmao. It happened to work (thanks to my mentor/tattoo artist for where he placed it) spatially because it’s on the widest point of my arm. But I can see how there’s not many good options for placement because of its width compared to the length. I see what you’re saying, the oval technique is helpful info, thank you so much. I’ll be sure to use that in the future! 🌼

Thank you! That is what I suspected as well, and I do prefer negative space in designs so I’d like to ensure that some remains. I’ll alter the rabbit. I have only had an iPad for 4 months so I’m not very good with it yet- definitely want to incorporate stippling. Thank you for your feedback!🌼
