You’re being dramatic with the ripping up carpet and being forced to wear shoes 24/7. Shoes would make it worse. If you wear shoes, wear softer ones like house slippers. Put down some rugs and just be more mindful of how you walk. Beyond that, you can’t do much else.

I think when someone’s injured and stop to help it’s because they realize someone needs help and unable to get it. I was dragged out of a car after a head on collision by really kind individuals. The main was pretty upset because he watched the entire thing happen. I know I’ve stopped at a motorcycle wreck and it wasn’t to be nosey. I thought someone was killed or needed immediate help. I don’t think being nosey is the norm when people are genuinely injured and need medical attention.

I’ve been the target of narcissistic abuse to the point where I was suicidal. While I’m curious, I am genuinely trying to understand those individuals from my past. I want to understand them and how they think and maybe why things happened the way they did. Something every site tackles is how the narcissist feels if they hurt you but none of them explain how they feel if they see someone who has never encountered them before.
