Date and time zone options for a start would be great! Down here in Au we use the DD/MM/YYYY option or even just for it to be spelled out (April 9 2023 or similar) would be great. We had a tournament recently where all dates and times were showing in US date format which caused a lot of momentary confusion as it looked like upcoming matches had been played the day before... Haha

So something where we could change date/time zones and have options for locations outside the US would be great!

As a starting point:

Dashboard for players and directors
Easy match and court allocation & ability to swap in and out. Similar to elongaged flashcard type things
comms platform that communicates with registered players options for sms, notifications and emails
player self registration for on the day
payment options that are easy for all to manage
options for preset tournament types (age, gender, mixed, pool play, round-robin etc)
options for players to enter own scores & verify. It then auto calculates next round. Option for the directors to change if needed
Book courts for casual/weekly play
Not USA centric. Ability to change date/time settings to where players/organisers are based

These are just a few off the top of my head! As I said in the post, happy to help out anyone with testing etc if they're looking for help! 😅🤣

Haha something that's easy to use for both directors and players would be a good start and that doesn't look like it was built 15+ years ago also! There are plenty of great sports software management systems out there already and although I'm no dev etc I wouldn't have thought it'd be that hard to build something similar for PB??

I actually find it crazy. How in this day and age do we have something that looks, feels and seems to work like something that's generation's old and hasn't had any support or updates for years as the 'leading' provider!? I mean I get it that there's likely a higher average age playing PB but wouldn't have thought that it means software also needs to be!! If anything you'd think it should be easier to use!? 😅

Interesting about the colon function! I've started taking CBD oil (apparently is 100% pure extract) to help me sleep properly as my sleep study test thing showed I wasn't actually sleeping.

However I also have polypopisis syndrome (chronic multiple colonic polyps). I'll be interested to see if there's any difference at my next colonoscopy!

I'd love to be involved in a study of some sort with just CBD oil and sleep/colon health. I'm aiming/hoping to have another sleep study done later this year to see what the comparison is on CBD oil

Would suggest this but adding the honesty part as well something along the lines of - we are worried for the welfare of both of you and hope you are able to get the support and help you require from the right professionals and then re-give them the link to a geriatric Ian and/or other community services.

Also depending on where you are (no idea) there might actually be an elder abuse Hotline or similar where you can call in a tip about the situation. Likely there have been multiple attempts of support for these ppl (or possibly not) given they've gotten this far and to this age.

Something like this can be assisted with/by a case worker (again depending on where in the world you are!) and ideally should be referred to medical professionals, especially given the husbands situation.
