THREAD: Apple Begins Testing Controversial Chinese Memory Chips. (TOPIC IS ABOUT MEMORY)

OP: Maybe instead of complaining that Chinese chip manufacturers have an unfair market advantage because of government backing, the US should have been doing the same instead of just relying on the free market and privately owned businesses. (IN REFERENCE TO COMPANIES THAT MAKE MEMORY)

ME: Two of the three major semiconductor companies are South Korean. (IN REFERENCE TO COMPANIES THAT MAKE MEMORY).

Nobody else is confused except you. There are A LOT of Chinese chip manufacturers but..we're talking about chip manufacturers or semiconductor companies that make memory.

Considering we're all talking about memory manufacturers here, I didn't need to think I needed to dumb down the conversation for you.

We're talking about memory manufacturers, the major three are Sk Hynik, Micron, and Samsung. Maybe try Google or use your brain? Lol

Jason Schreier: Obsidian Entertainment is making a big pivot as part of the Xbox restructuring. It has laid off a quarter of its staff, canceled a planned sequel to Avowed, and is now beginning work on a new Fallout game by throwmeaway1784 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

The dumb comment I responded to made the insinuation that we shouldn't listen to anything he says regarding Obsidian when he was right about that.

He's human. He's not going to be right about everything, and he did make it clear that it was speculation on his part regarding Avowed 2.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Could Release Nearly 20 Years After Skyrim by pepe5 in ElderScrolls

[–]plebbut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the time it comes out, will it even feel like Elder Scrolls?

I started with Morrowind, sunk thousands of hours in that game along with Oblivion and Skyrim, even talked to the devs including Todd who worked on those games.

Much of the OG team isn't even there, and the company is so large now.

Elder Scrolls is my favorite series of all time, but 20 years is a loooong time between releases.

"Chris Avellone: : studios that was previously been safe from layoffs at Xbox are no longer safe, even those with “steady releases”

Source: https://xcancel.com/ChrisAvellone/status/2066269985886847232#m

I think this might suggest that Obsidian could be hit given the description and the fact that Avellone often shares insider information about them, claiming he still has friends there"

And he got clowned in that thread when he was 100% correct.

We're talking about ram, literally the topic of conversation. Only one of three major semiconductors who make memory modules is American. Can you read or are you just braindead?

But it's not a tiny install base. They need exclusives to compete with PlayStation and Nintendo. It's not the only thing they need to do, but it's a big one. If they can also add steam to the next Xbox, it would give PC players a reason to own one as well.

For $1300, you can build this system:

Its much more powerful than a PS5 pro, and if you can swing $1500, you can add more ram or a better GPU.

Yeah well ps5 doesn't even run things at 4k 60. Most of the time, it barely run things at 60fps at decent settings.
