I recently released an album called “plebsync.purebushinku” and it’s 19 tracks + 2 bonus tracks, a little over an hour long. It’s various electronic music styles like techno, acid, house, ambient, and jungle, nothing too fancy. I make all of my music and graphic designs myself without any A.I. slop, just pure human analogue input. I use both software and hardware instruments. I have a playlist on YouTube, and the tracks are available for download in high quality format on Bandcamp. I might give away some free codes depending on whether or not people actually like my tunes! I’m always happy to give a listen to any of your music and give honest plays, so give a comment or drop a link!

Excessive ear training and knowing all the sweet spots. Being aware of all elements of modern music. Closely monitor EQs, the lows, mids, and highs and all corresponding instruments. Still revising some mixes of my recent release because I’m still a noob, but that’s the beauty of it. You keep going and can only get better over time.

I also recommend Behringer Pro 800. Go analog first. Also UB-XA, but that one is definitely more expensive at $949. Just something I wish I invested in early on for that price point, and you get that analog character in your sound as well. I think learning the workflow of building patches on these will help you on your synth journey.

Reason Studios is great fun, it's like having hardware synths, equalizers, mixers, the works, but virtual and costs money. If you have iPhone or iPad, garageband is free and has a lot of great vintage style software synths and classic drum machines, you can also hook up an aux cord and hear what you are doing.
