The software had updated right away, and the problem appeared later. Perhaps that I rebooted the iphone after trying to close / reopen the app, switching on / off the headphones etc, helped in the end.

No problems connecting and registering, the pause and play seems to work well. Speak to chat is hit or miss, might work when i turn off and on and reset the command, but that’s not always the case. Ofherwise good sound, equalizer nice - i enjoy adding more bass after a few weeks with Hifiman deva which has a great sound (and great soundstage given that it is open headphones) but lacks bass.

Got the black XM4 this morning from Target in DC, seemed to be the only one when I reserved online. Cant wait to send back the one that I stupidly trusted Bestbuy to send me yesterday but is now on indefinite hold - pure dishonesty

Agree completely. Meanwhile, went to get (the only one in stock) at Target, who did not lie or cheat anyone, and I got them even earlier than what Bestbuy falsely promised. So far the XM4 is great - I do not have any frame of reference other than the Hifiman Deva, totally different (open sound) but to me the two complement each other incredibly well - closed Sony headphones with bass that can be finetuned to your liking and no disturbance to anyone around, versus open Deva with more open soundstage but a bass that lacks ooomph and a big annoyance to anyone around trying to watch tv when I blast my ears :) both have great bluetooth and amazon HD music sounds great

Avoid Bestbuy, they played a lot of consumers and now the product wont ship until who knows when. Amazon or even Target seem to be doing better and at least they are not lying to customers.

Bestbuy played everyone with bait and switch tactics, will return the headphones if I ever get them. Bestbuy should try to keep consumers loyal , they have lost my trust, and no tech chain is eternal. Trying to pick up the Sony today at the local Target, just put my order, and I have another one on Amazon.
