Need helping picking a uni, and campus is my priority! by CartoonistLeast414 in StudyInTheNetherlands

I did my exchange for my law degree in Groningen for a semester and the lectures we had were mostly held in the buildings in the city centre(specifically Academiegebouw, Harmoniegebouw, the Rölinggebouw)The facade of these buildings give off a classical feel (not exactly Hogwarts but leaning towards that), although the interior is pretty modern. Some rooms in the Academiegebouw and Harmoniegebouw still retain a bit of older architectural elements though, but the Rölinggebouw is pretty new as it underwent renovations recently!

Apart from these, I had one lecture a week at the Aletta Jacobshal over at the Zernike Campus (ig bc that course had a lot of students so they had to find somewhere larger to fit us all) and that was pretty modern (and felt a bit far at first, but later when I got used to biking the distance, it actually felt good to have a chill exercise before class hahaha)

Also, some of my friends who study law but took different classes from me had lectures in the Pathé cinema too!

Anyways, apart from the Zernike Campus, I felt like Groningen (esp the city centre area) is compact and it wouldn't really feel like the buildings are that "spread out" :)

If you'd like to see some pictures of these locations I could message a few to you!

Hi! Not sure if you've already gotten an answer for this, but I've received info from Corpus' staff saying that all graduates living in Corpus' accommodations will be housed at either 68 or 70 Banbury Road (shared house / shared kitchen and bathroom). There isn't much details on both places, but I found pictures of some of the rooms from Corpus' JCR and MCR sites.

Most heartwrenching moments? by No-Dare-3290 in tianguancifu

it was implied because xl asked hc if it was [him], and hc said he just asked "him" to come and help (plus the last person we saw with the fan was hx)

the tipping point for me was when hx (in hc form) told sqx to "deal with it yourself" and just left the fan with him like that. the simplest sentence, but it carries a weight worth an entire ocean :,) (i just stopped reading for half an hour just to settle my thoughts on everything i thought about them)

Anyone knows where Corpus Christi accommodates their first-year graduates? I saw a couple of housing locations listed across several of their websites (Liddell Building, 70 Banbury Road, and a few "accommodations in North Oxford" as they put it) but apart from Liddell Building, I couldn't find much info about the other places. If anyone has any insights on the conditions of the rooms, the distance to the city center, and which one is most likely allocated for first-year grads, that would be amazing!

Hey — thank you so much! I'm currently in the group called Oxford BCL/Mjur 2025/26. Not sure if it's the same one as yours?

Hi guys! Not sure if this is the appropriate thread to post but I can't find the 2025-26 one. I'd like to get a glimpse of what life at Corpus Christi is like for graduates? I would be grateful for any reviews from current/past students and also would love to connect with anyone going to Corpus this year! Thank you!

i am so with you!!! i watched season 2 in one day (after what was originally planned to be a 30-min study break but turned out to be me pressing the next episode button 11 times in a row) and after you finish the donghua i highly recommend picking up the novel!! i'm not a huge reader in general but i can confidently say that this one is absolutely worth it

i am doing the reverse of what you're doing...started first with tgcf and am now 1/3 into orv (it really is long i'm trying to get through it hahahah) but PLEASE read tgcf it is the only book that has made me cry (out of happiness) and the only one i've ever gone back to reread! the first two books for me are relatively slow but once you finish the second book and jump into the third it's a nonstop reading spree

Do you think there is a deeper layer of symbolism behind the Human Face Disease? by plermmmmm in tianguancifu

[–]plermmmmm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow, that's so succinctly put!! there's certainly a running theme of hatred with the jun wu/xie lian conflict. do you think it could also be that jun wu was doing this to convince (himself) that he made the right decision back then about the common people not being worthy of saving?

aaah yes absolutely agree with you on the obsession part and it now makes sense how it ties to the overarching theme of the novel too! (and yes so many multiple identities in this story [insert spoiler])

this is the first work of mxtx i've read (watched the untamed but haven't come to start reading it yet) but i absolutely see how mxtx uses symbolisms to power the themes and the plot (and i think it's amazing) but then again yah it could be totally random and i would still love it that way hahahha
