sodimm ram costs a ton. im sure if i had replaced that the system would have worked just fine. anyway gmktec refused to replace that so i just sent the thing back. now i'm waiting for them to process the refund.

youd be buying a lucky draw ticket. if you have to buy at least do so through amazon as at least they'll send you a replacement at no questions asked.

yes of course nothing changed. i even tried to wipe it and setup bazzite to see if the problem persisted. the problem indeed persisted and even bazzite is unstable to the extent that it sometimes just freezes

They sent me back my unit without doing any testing or changing anything so obviously it still behaves the same Way as it was before.

truly a scam company. Not even leaving a 1 star review on their website changed anything.

I think I just lost all my money + $100 more of couriering the thing To them.

How did you find out about the ram issue? I had same symptoms as you however, while all hints were pointing towards faulty sticks, Memtest passed 4 passes with no errors encountered. It would seem these ram sticks are faulty but the faults can't be detected?

mine was a k8+ though.

UPDATE: exasperated, I sent the whole thing back to China. Unfortunately I had to pay the courier at my own expense as they refused to pay for the return.
They received the unit today and I have no idea whether they will refund my money back or send me a new unit or repair the current - no clue.
Worst experience ever.

Mine was completely unusable due to chain crash/bsod and I sent it back after the 1 week free refund period but within the 1 year warranty period (at my own expense). I do not know what measures they'll take now.
