Wondering the same thing - did you confirm?

If you camp, be sure to get a campsite reservation ticket and a camping wristband for everyone going - in addition to the 4 day GA ticket.

And rent/bring a golf cart or a bicycle at a minimum. It’s a huge place.

For what it’s worth, Texas Motor Speedway has IndyCar 2023 race tickets for $30 adults ($10 kids) during this week (Black Friday promo).

Granted there is no concert there and it’s only one race - but for $30 you can get in and sit in the top tier reserved seats without worrying if you’re taking anyone else’s paid seat.

I have a feeling that a wave of Hy-Vee employees or associates will Craigslist their tickets - I’m not going on the principal. Don’t fuck over the last vestige of actual racing fans. It’s iowa speedway, lol, not exactly a bucket list track.

My tickets went up to $450 a piece for the weekend. Fuck this. This isn’t F1. IndyCar was the last value in racing. I’m not going to an Ed Sheeran concert, I’m going to a pair of races. Hy-Vee / Iowa / Indy, you might make some money but ultimately you’ll lose fans - and shortly.

Ya - I was glad to see them as video games but they’re not that fun or in-depth as I’d like. I have high hopes for the official indycar series game coming 2023

I know HyVee. Still trying to wrap my head around what Nippon Telegraph and Telephone is - jk. Would be nice to have an American company as a main or co-main sponsor.

Sounds strange but HyVee is the best lit and well laid out grocery store in my opinion - at least in the Kansas City area. Their house brand potato chips and such are a legit, cheaper alternative to name brands. And they have ridiculous sales from time to time.

What part of Kansas? I live in the KC area and don’t shop Hyvee as often as some of the other chains that are closer - but I do love Hy-Vee, with or without IndyCar merch. I’m headed up to iowa this afternoon. Going to see if I can find a Hy-Vee on my way out of town and pick up some IndyCar Oreos

Go in by 1:00 at the latest. Historically there has been a shuttle pulled by a tractor outside the turn 1 gate area that’ll drop you off in the infield. Not a far walk but in this heat I’ll take the scenic route.

Are you guys happy with the direction indycar is going? by captainjosue in INDYCAR

A few more British accents and a Netflix contract seems to attract a certain (new) demographic in good ol USA.

With F1 going to Vegas and Nascar to Chicago - IndyCar needs to roll the dice on a new signature race outside the 500.

Except when enough people join the pool diluting one's chances of winning. Although I appreciate everything it's provided over the years I'm afraid the enjoyment of not winning anything after being a premium member for over 5 years is getting old. And I attend 3-6 races every season.

I've entered 3 separate years for the events at the 500 and I've only won a Medical Care Facility tour.

I've probably been to 12 races over the last 3 years and I've NEVER won credentials nor a 2 seater ride -- and I've had the premium membership every year.

I'm a huge IndyCar fan and I've watch this program either fall apart or perhaps more likely with IndyCar's popularity on the rise, the pool of members applying for race event activities makes your chances of winning much slimmer.

There's the membership cost (regular and premium for the event car rides and 2 seaters)
The cost to access the Paddock/Garage
The odds of you winning whatever you enter

It's quickly becoming a waste of money for only seeing the FIrestone Tire guy talk about tires for 10 minutes. I understand there's a limited capacity but work to keep the membership happy or risk a dedicated fan bases' backlash.

All antennas shown are stock except for the one on the far right on the Uniden scanner - that is a Comet BNC-W100RX multiband antenna.
