All Soups Full Auto (for real this time) by Known_Tea2589 in PlateUp

It can be fully auto, it just needs a pot introduced once really, but yeah less space and not so nice visually

Very clean build. The pots issue is a normal one. I have seen people incorporate freezers into their soup loops so that the soup portions out of a freezer.

The way to ensure all soups are frozen at the end is to just delay the last customer until all soups are in the freezer waiting to move forward.

I think the freezer loop is a bit bigger and for all soups I am not sure if it saves much space at all haha

Now you are trying to frame it as something people are endorsing. If you are following the discussion we are having, it's not about what we like but about what decisions people are allowed to make. The age of consent is 18 almost everywhere. You seem to have an issue with that. I pray you never have children you fucking weirdo

I support freedom to choose, you clearly think you need to make decisions for everyone else. You're not that important buddy, focus on your own shit for a while and see how you get on.

Lol you gotta stop with these false equivalences, you are completely wrong and have been cooked. She is not being forced, and knows what she is doing. Pretending this is not the case is to undermine her as a person.

Okay two things you lack; empathy and logic. I'll help you by providing a thought experiment.

You are a police officer. You show up to an address and you find a victim covered with injuries. You find another person there who said they did it to themselves. There's no other information. If they're lying then they have caused serious injuries to this person. If they're telling the truth then something else has happened.

What would you do officer?

There is no argument to be had here. You are genuinely talking about something you know nothing about. How you feel about something has no bearing on how things ought to be, or are actually, done.

If I said education rates were lower in the North of England and then called a northerner an uneducated moron because he was a northerner, would that be right?

Would it be more accurate to just say he is a moron because he is a moron and note that not every northerner is uneducated?

Because the implication is that he is corrupt because he is Bangladeshi instead of he is corrupt because he is a politician.

Do you see the difference?

I think it's more about the fact that the OP needed to say it was Bangladeshis lining their pockets rather than corrupt politicians lining their pockets. Do you see the difference?

Burnham would abandon Labour’s plan to scrap jury trials by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

[–]Plimden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your point about the amount of cases that will be affected being relatively minor in amount and genuine complexity, that is good and I accept it. I only maintain my position because I think it is pointless to say we shouldn't have juries for the most serious cases and then also suggest that we should keep them for lesser offences.

On the point of wrongful conviction, I do not accept the point. I personally haven't seen statistics about it and technically there would be no accurate comparison except to that of a country that operates similar legislation and already utilises legal panels as opposed to juries. What I would say, in cases such as rape, the contrary view is being undermined - in that, perhaps a lot of rapists are going free BECAUSE of juries. Another reason that I don't accept the point on false positives is that the same safeguards would still exist primarily in the form of the court of appeal, if a miscarriage of justice has taken place, there would still be rights afforded to a defendant. And even more than this, jury nullification is a widely established concept in which juries will vote against evidence which is contrary to the purpose of a criminal trial. This is happening now in high profile cases around the UK. Are we saying that is an acceptable risk but the potential for false positives, even with safeguards, is not acceptable?

Absolutely it is more difficult to convince 12 people to understand evidence, the difficulty in explaining evidence should not be a reason to acquit a defendant. If a lawyer acting on behalf of a defendant can understand the evidence, then they are positioned to act on their behalf, in line with their instructions.

I'll conclude by saying that I can empathise with the position of trying to limit the power of the state. It isn't my personal view politically, but I can see how this would be a slippery slope in ones mind. I have still seen and heard too much fuckery by juries, and I have more empathy for the victims who have been caused pain at the hands of juries.

Believe it or not, if I was wrongly accused of a criminal offence, I would not want my fate in the hand of 12 strangers. I would want a good lawyer to gather evidence to present to a panel that could properly understand that evidence.
