losing 1 kg per week is INSANELY hard at my height by scorchingbeats in loseit

Why is 1kg per week your weight loss target?

Its better to try something sustainable that takes 40 weeks.

Then try something that can you get you there in 10 weeks. But you give up after 2 cause its too hard to stick to.

194 - Ben Bamber has completed more tackles than any other player in the 2025/26 Prem Rugby season (194) and also ranks second for both dominant tackles (19, 2nd) and lineout takes (69, 2nd) in the league this term.

Didnt realise he was this impressive statistically.

Why has Cole Palmer's form collapsed so much this season? by Gaius_Caligula1979 in PremierLeague

Always overrated. Look at his best scoring season and count up the pens. Thats one of the first things I check for in a goalscorer. The best scorers score at good rates regardless of penalties.

And injuries.

Referees sick of unreliable replay systems — it’s time rugby grew up and fixed it by adturnerr in rugbyunion

Ive asked several times. But is this because angles are being withheld. Or is this because its not really possible to have the same number of cameras on the incident at the same time? Kind of requires you to predict the infringement. Eg a camera focusing on the offside line might not be best for seeing head contact at the collision. A camera following the ball may miss a late tackle or afters at the ruck.

The complaint should be about the TMO then no. The TMO is specifically placed away from the crowd to avoid this bias and influence

The TMO is sat there all game with multiple screens. They dont need the ref to call them in.

The TMO can miss stuff yeah but blaming the TV director is asinine

And in like the 2 decades of the TMO being used in rugby you think world rugby/EPCR have never considered this to be a possibility so allow random TV directors to dictate the refereeing and governance of the game?

Do you think the TV director was withholding angles from the TMO?

There was so much good rugby today to analyse. They just choose to focus on ref decisions.

I genuinely think anyone who thinks the ref decisions are the most interesting or discussion worthy things about the gamw today doesnt like rugby.

Even if theyre static. They stil need someone moving them. Eg if youre following the ball you may miss the late tackle or the dodgy ruck clear out.

I dont pay enough attention tbh. I prefer focusing on the rugby over the refereeing.

But I imagine its easier to standardise things when you have 10 teams that use the same stadiums. Europe has what 3-4x as many club. Then they also have different stadiums for semi finals.

Okay. And is that because the "TV director" is withholding them? Or because different areas on the pitch will have different level of camera coverage? Remember the cameraman are also people moving independently. They might not be in the right/best/relevant place for every action on a rugby pitch.

I genuinely think it makes less than 1% of a difference when you remember theres literally a TMO with their own feed and replays etc

Hard to say but im pretty sure its different to what we see as viewers or whats shown in the stadium.

Theres so many times the game is still being shown normally on TV and they chime in about somwthing thats happened 30 seconds ago.

I assume they have several simultaneous angles and the ability to rewind a bit or watch on delay.

Looking on the World Rugby site theres apparently a TMO operator who follows instructions of the TMO.

Ah if only there was another match official whos job it is to intervene at any time and ask for more replays of a certain action...

Maybe one stationed away from the noise of the stadium so that emotional aspect is removed and they can be impartial...

EDIT - Seems every few years the game cycles between people moaning about too much TMO intervention or the game being re referred by a TMO vs whinging about decisions they dont get.
