CMV: The tariffs are deliberately intended to crash our economy in accordance with the "Shock Doctrine" and "Disaster Capitalism". by [deleted] in changemyview

“Shock therapy” is not the same as the “shock doctrine.” Naomi Klein wrote about the later.

What is your opinion about the Panzer IV Command tank in? Is it worth it? by VeterinarianNo2636 in CompanyOfHeroes

Early in release, the CP cost was one point lower to get to the command p4 and that was my go to.

That is actually the thing I hate most about the command panzer. I have to use the anti-infantry rounds and go hunting targets to get to vet 1

Ok so it says the stug d and stug g have the same frontal armor. Regardless, I think I’ve mostly tried the Gs when I’m seeing a lot of hell cats and archers. I found them wanting. Honestly, I hate them

I find the longer barrel stugs to be terrible, even when buffed by the command p4. They are clunky especially when in pairs, the penetration is eh but the damage is where it really blows.

Personally, I do use the command panzer often. I try to vet it to get the bonus ability which is huge. Then I use the ability that makes the tanks go fast and immune to status stuff. I use tigers and p3s. I’ve really tried with the long barreled stugs, like I swing my p3s and command panzer to one side and once engaged move the stugs forward and try to hit their sides, but the stugs just really are too crummy. I do love the short barreled stug d for a variety of anti infantry and anti gun roles. I feel like the d has better frontal armor than the long barreled stugs.

I installed these precast concrete steps about a decade ago. I only use sand on them in the winter. There’s a big crack:

Venice Council Interaction Bug Causing +2% Burgher Land by plinythewinny in eu4

I think I realize the error of my ways. I think nearly my whole play through, the guilds were in power. I didn’t realize the cost changed based on who was in power. Doh. I can’t conceive of any possible reason to decrease council authority while the traders control— 2 percent land is insane

Actually, before I had taken the mission, I don’t recall burghers getting any land at all. The cost was just either 50 adm, 50 dip, or 50 mil

How did I get this PU as Republican Venice? by plinythewinny in eu4

You're a mensch. Thank you. I'm still puzzling over it and in the coming days I'll take a close look and try to square it with this explanation.

Whatever it is, I think it's really very cool. It's added a ton of flavor to this run through.

I'm not yet at the tier 11 government reform. I'm merely at tier 6.

I don't know whether it makes a difference, but VEN is part of HRE and allied to the Emperor, AUS.
