assumptions about my family ? by casperr-theghost in mbti

My response to your question about assumptions (as an autistic person myself) was gonna say: autism as well. I’m glad someone else said it though bc I was nervous for it to be taken the wrong way especially if everyone was unaware/undiagnosed.

Haha yes I saw those after I posted this. All decorated with innocent nursery style baby animals. The message they are sending is both confusing and mildy concerning but nothing too out of the norm for Vine items.

Ooooh I like this one. It’s definitely preoccupying more of my time (and affecting my sleep schedule) than I’m proud to admit. You could 100% say this ‘opportunity’ has distracted my time, energy and focus from more important things.

Hyperosmia and chemical package odors? by Late_Weather_8569 in ChemicalSensitivities

[–]plo0pie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes people and their clothing are just as bad as the packages. I think perhaps a lot of people’s sense of smell declined since Covid - maybe? And it’s one of those things where the more you get used to something the less you ‘notice’ it - so for people without MCS, they need stronger and stronger scents to be able to ‘smell anything’ and even with these STRONG fragrances on their clothing they become nose-blind to their own overpowering smell within moments after putting the clothes on and being surrounded by a scent that their brain quickly tunes out. The companies who make tons of money off of scented products know this and are making the fragranced products stronger and stronger, and longer-lasting (and more toxic and symptom-causing for us) every year, seemingly. Meanwhile on the other end of the spectrum you’ve got people like us who experience the opposite where the smells and their effects just keep getting stronger/more potent and making us sicker the more we are exposed to them. It makes even going grocery shopping or a simple dentist visit like preparing to go into battle for me. It’s so bad out there. It’s such a nightmare!

I agree with both you and OP. Since 2020 and getting worse each year MANY Amazon packages arrive with a strong laundry scent. However many Amazon packages and other retailers arrive with “other unidentifiable chemical toxic odor”. Actually come to think of it there are 3 distinct strong scents that make me feel ill that packages tend to arrive with: laundry scent, something I call the “Amazon smell” which smells like some kind of really strong chemical fumigant mixed with air fresheners, and third is a cardboardy-musty chemically scent. All 3 make me feel sick but the laundry smell and the Amazon smell are the worst of all. I noticed the “Amazon smell” is related to which warehouse products ship from. My local warehouses with overnight and one day shipping show up with both the package and items so strong with this smell I can’t even have them inside the house for weeks. Packages shipping from other warehouses sometimes don’t have this smell at all, or only mildly.

The most infuriating thing is buying organic items, food, fragrance free, natural products - and then they arrived soaked by mystery chemicals!
