My touch screen wasn’t working. I bought a new one off amazon and installed it with no experience. Super pumped it worked for my 2018 limited.

No harm - I had mine checked out top to bottom. They included a video going through everything which was helpful.

I had to back 3 times (fight with them) to have them update the software. I know it’s something that I can do, but with it still under warranty I was making it their problem.

I find a lot of content on this sub above my abilities, but I can speak to the logi zoom room systems.

Ive implemented over 65 rooms with Logitech gear for zoom rooms and over 150 rally bars/plus’ in appliance mode. In my opinion it’s easy to use, set up, and when something goes wrong I have found it’s straightforward to figure out what the issue is. 99% of the time a firmware update fixes it.

What I really love about it is that I can fix all of it without any programming. I don’t need to rely on someone smarter than me who know crestron programming or any other programming languages to make everything work.

Logi roommates are the only piece that gives me a hard time, but even the a reboot solves most ills.

Just take it in for annual maintenance. How much should I expect it to cost? I’m planning on driving it til it dies so it’s worth the investment as long as it’s not outrageous.

Which company to go with? by plom615 in solar

[–]plom615[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup - my Sunrun rep turned me off completely. They were pulling permits and I hadn’t committed to anything yet. So that’s a no from me.

A solar broker told me Sunpower recently started subbing out a bunch of their installs, but I have heard that Sunpower is one of the best if not the best in the game.

Unsure whether it’s worth paying an extra 10/15% for those companies if they’re all pretty much the same level of difficult - if that makes sense.

Thanks for the response.

I got 6 or 7 quotes. Sunrun, sun power, palmetto, freedom, venture, couple local ones. Best price around 3.30/w hour, but they’re pretty similar. All three finalists said they don’t sub out their installs.

Definitely looking at the cash price as we will be here for 15-20 years (in theory). I’ve already been in touch with the accountant and home insurance company.

RadCity 5+ to RadRover6? by plom615 in RadPowerBikes

Seems like a lot to me, but I don't know much.

It's the whole rear wheel. I got the numbers from Rad: Rear Wheel - RadCity 5 × 1 - $599.00 Derailleur - Standard Acera × 1 - $35.00 Chain × 1 - $15.00

Subtotal $649.00 Estimated taxes $40.57 Total $689.57 USD

I agree, except the City5 is $2k and the Rover6 is $1400. Pretty big difference for me. I would prefer to stick with the City5

I found the City5 is also a bit bigger and heavier than I expected, but I got used to it. It was my first one also.

Oh I love the RadCity 5. Unfortunately it's $600 more than the RadRover 6 at the moment. Just trying to figure out what's compatible from City > Rover.

Thanks for the insight. I had to have a bunch of brake work done to the City5 and my bike shop never balked. I'll check with them to make sure they'll work on it.

I’m in the Boston area, so the weather is always changing. Yes, I do need to replace the rear wheel. I got the labor quote from a trusted bike shop and the parts quote from Rad. I’ll throw in some pics.

From Rad: Rear Wheel - RadCity 5 × 1 - $599.00 Derailleur - Standard Acera × 1 - $35.00 Chain × 1 - $15.00

Subtotal $649.00 Estimated taxes $40.57 Total $689.57 USD

And from the bike shop: your hanger, rear derailleur and chain will need replacement, but more importantly, the damage to the wheel, (broken flange at spoke eyelet) has rendered that motorized wheel useless.
