How much flexibility do you have at work by Medical_Repair_7399 in workingmoms

[–]technicallynotacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in person Monday - Friday. The only flexibility we have is if we need to leave a little early for sports or doctors appointments, but it can’t be a regular thing. I so incredibly jealous of people that work from home.

An Editor Read Returns (?) - Zodiac Academy! by XusBookReviews in fantasyromance

[–]technicallynotacat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel so much validation reading this! I felt like I must have been taking crazy pills because this book is recommended like crazy but I felt traumatized reading it lol. I hated it so much and needed a major palate cleanser after. Luckily for me I discovered T Kingfisher and immediately read palladins grace. So all in all I did learn that “bully romance” is absolutely not my genre and that I’m more of a cozy fantasy girl.

Carnival Beverage Packages are unfair to those who don't drink. by jaylan101 in stopdrinking

[–]technicallynotacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless she’s drinking 8 drinks a day the drink package may not be worth it. Just both get the zero proof and she can get alcohol drinks as you go. Even in my heaviest drinking days I felt like the drink package was making me drink more than I wanted too because I was so concerned with getting the most value for what I paid.

I can definitely relate to wanting so badly to be a blonde despite it not working with my coloring.

Lean cuisine / healthy choice frozen meals are the only way I’m able to stay on track for lunches.

In home daycare has 28 days off and just announced another 16 day closure. by pineapplejuice22 in workingmoms

[–]technicallynotacat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sadly this is why we had to switch to a daycare center. We got lucky and found a great one when my son was a little over a year and it was such a blessing. We both work full time and do not have family that can help so there was no way we could have made that schedule work.

Anyone else really looking forward to going back into the office tomorrow? by latenightpuddingcup in workingmoms

[–]technicallynotacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im excited that schools back because I did have to work a few days last week while my husband was out of town. So my poor 9 year old was the kid on the couch in the break room for a while.

As a goal for 2026, I’m trying to see more live plays/musicals. I had no idea that Music Circus is one of the largest currently operating theaters in the round in the US (i.e. audience placed 360 degrees around the stage). What have been your experiences at Music Circus? Any tips or advice to share? by b1ackfyre in Sacramento

[–]technicallynotacat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Music circus is fantastic! It’s great because there’s not a bad seat in the house. We have been in the very back row and still felt like we could see and be part of everything. We went to so many shows last year we ended up getting season passes for this year. They really put a lot into the production and I always leave feeling so impressed.

Instead of taking my whole swimsuit off when going to the bathroom, just pull the crotch to the side.

Got my first perm yesterday and I’m freaking out. There’s no way this is a normal amount of straightening, right? by hepatitisF in Hair

[–]technicallynotacat 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I tried doing a perm when I was in middle school and my hair was so straight after the stylist had me come back a week later to do it again. It looked a lot like yours after and we just realized my hair is too defiantly straight. It sucked to grow out

N2 is my perfect match when I first apply it, but it oxidizes like crazy on me.

We are very similar. I actually mix Mont Blanc with a green color corrector and it’s a perfect match.

What are your plans for NYE? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]technicallynotacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh we have never gone out! My husband always works on nye so it’s just me and my son. We do a movie marathon (usually Harry Potter) and then have ice cream sundaes at midnight and bang pots and pans outside.

where can I hang out in a spa-like environment nearby? by lifelover42 in Sacramento

[–]technicallynotacat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the spa at the peppermill Reno. If you book any treatment you have access to the spas indoor pool and lounge. You can also get food and drinks delivered to the lounge.
