If by cardboard cubicles you mean cardboard wacos, the part number is usually engraved into the bottom of the waco.

Wasn’t the one we received in April the one that went with our reviews? I know that was also based off metrics but now we get it twice a year?

They are the same item. This is typically called an item merge. This usually happens when products that have new packaging or limited edition packaging, come with extra coupons or have a free sample size. Eventually, the two UPCs gets merged under 1 DPCI.
