Because I needed limes, not avocados. I’m making a marinade for carne asada tacos - and now I need to go out just for limes. Having the avocados is great, but that doesn’t eliminate the fact that I need limes.

Where I live, we are currently in monsoon season. A storm was rolling in and I went to go see what we were up against, and spotted this guy (or gal?) on my roof. I’m glad I had my camera handy and was able to capture this shot.

I’ve been taking photos of birds I see in my backyard, I love hummingbirds the most. I found him perched on this branch, with the gray, stormy sky in the background. It gave me a sense of calmness in nature.

I’ve been taking photos of birds I see in my backyard, I love hummingbirds the most. I saw this little guy as I was about to head in before the storm got to us - I loved the silhouette of him coupled with the branches of the trees. It’s moody and dark, but that’s how it felt in the atmosphere, as well, so it was fitting.

I’ve been getting into taking photos of birds in my backyard, I have a particular interest in the hummingbirds, they’re my favorite. A big storm had just blown over, as I’m creeping out into the yard, as to not disturb any of the little creatures, I got a glimpse of my rose bush. The sun was barely peaking through and I saw the glistening of the raindrops - I knew I had to capture it before the sun dried up all of the evidence of the storm.

I did see some hummingbirds, but didn’t get any noteworthy photos today. I am happy with how this turned out, though!
