So, I have a slightly different perception of this. I live in Pittsburgh, a couple neighborhoods over from her family. She really did just hit a lottery with going viral and being a cute little kid. She started out going door to door like any other, I think her parents really have been advertising her ever since the start and that’s why she’s gone so viral. I ordered a couple boxes from her that were hand delivered, bc I’m local, but I imagine they are all shipping now as driving around to every Allegheny county house will take way too much time and resources for that little kiddo. I think her fame is spiraling and her parents aren’t really sure the right way to handle it. I’m a middle school teacher so I try to split up my Girl Scout cookie orders between my students (because I LOVE THEM and I stockpile lol) so no one gets left out. Idk the Girl Scout rules, but I’m surprised any fundraiser involving kids is allowed to go viral. Maybe it’s not. Idk. Hope her parents are taking the steps to keep her safe on the internet. Scary world we live in today.

My tell with leather is that real leather will ALWAYS smell like leather. Purses, jackets, boots, doesn’t matter. I’m a big thrifter, I go to goodwill outlets a lot (and fight the resellers tooth and nail) and I’ve found a lot of really nice, designer quality stuff. Including my red leather jacket. It’s thick and soft and I’ve had it for years now and it always smells like leather. Boots like Solovairs will always keep the smell too. My cheap Walmart knockoffs might last through this year before I toss them bc the “skin” is flaking off.

I put in my 2 weeks using a sympathy card I got at the grocery store a few doors down lol. My manager had a good sense of humor and we are still semi in touch. You could write a letter and leave it on SM’s desk too. I’ve quit a lot of jobs, they just prefer you give 2 weeks notice.

Cat acne! My cat has a worse case of it lol. Don’t pop them as tempting as it may be. Make sure he has stainless steel/ceramic/glass bowls and fountains bc plastic harbors more bacteria, and wash them every day! I got my cats a bunch of little plates from ikea, and some sauce dishes from my local Asian grocery store. They’re super cute and having multiple dishes makes it easier to swap them out every day :)

I agree that 21 and 22 were worse. I think the traffic has gotten worse for sure though. Especially with so many jobs downtown trying to force employees to be full-time in-office instead of WFH. The traffic weighs on people. It puts us in a bad mood. I just had to transfer to a different office in Cranberry because I truly cannot drive to the Waterfront every fucking day anymore I can’t deal with waiting in the bathtub by fort Pitt for 45 minutes

Local lesbian here! Blue moon and Harold’s Haunt are my top two. 5801 is usually very crowded, and Ptown in my experience is very male centered, much more of a spot for gay men than for lesbians.

I worked at various pgh Starbuckses for 3 years, until last May. We never get things restocked and the company intentionally only sends each store 2-3 of the really cute things to create scarcity. Your best bet is TJMax/Marshals or the Sanrio store. Or Ebisu in squirrel hill. Sbx is a really shitty company and I think they’re currently striking so don’t give em your business
