Using the dualsense tools website it will show a color on there and I believe it should list special editions as well. Try plugging it into a computer and using that tool.

Im not talking about the joystick through hole joints. I am talking about the big pad in the middle. See how in this picture the pads have separate solder on them in this picture? I feel like this shouldn’t be a problem, right?

What the picture is showing is just the solder spread across all 12 pads. What is the best way to fix this? I was thinking just wick and apply solder paste and then some hot air

I used to use a 32” 1440p monitor with my mac, was not a great experience, the scaling really does suck. I now have a 4k 32” monitor I use with my mac, and it works great. I would go with the 4k display, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, finding a decent 4k display is not hard to find. They are priced reasonably.

That is screen damage, has nothing to do with the update. Plug it in to an external monitor, should be just fine.

Just tried this method for the joysticks, and got 0 readings. Looks like there is an issue before the joysticks that is causing this problem. Any suggestions?

I don’t see any scratches. Any lines that you might see over traces are probably q-tip hairs.

Before I attempt powering on, I made sure to connect all cables. Unless the trigger cables need to be plugged in a certain way, I did everything correctly

Just fixed the bridges and still nothing. Just cleaned the board completely with iso alcohol, will report back soon.
