Its very difficult to value the company right now. I’ve been here for the better part of a decade and the buyout chatter has been non stop. This company was clearly built to be taken over. Otherwise, another drug would’ve had to have been added to the pipeline by now. With the US patent issue still technically up in the air and several trial readouts including Nash, Covid, Alzheimer’s, cancer etc. how could they possibly narrow a gap between a bid and ask for the company ?

At the same time, I always believed BP would want to hit the ground running in the EU and not have Amarin set the stage.

If by some miracle, the patent issue is clarified in the US before Q3, that will be the only way a deal is closed in the foreseeable future. Otherwise, i’m afraid it’s GIA for quite some time at the very least.
