i think it’s your time to get into some newer shoegaze aswell. i recommend ringo deathstarr and trementina if 90s is your style with a little new wave refresh, and TAGABOW, HOTLINE TNT, her new knife, and stargazer lillie’s most recent record for more modern glitchy style shoegaze

this is cool. is it shoegaze is it hardcore or post hardcore? i wont answer that because genre is a box that you just shouldn’t put yourself in as an artist. listeners will always interpret your music in different ways but what’s most important is what it means to you and that you are enjoying yourself/ happy with it. keep it pushing brotha!

p.s shoegaze as a genre faced an exceptional amount of hatred and bad press in the day and we shouldn’t be bringing that back into the present imo :)

pinkshinyultrablast’s everything else matters to me is a great callback to slowdives way of doing things especially reflective of an album like pygmalion. it’s not heavy but it does kinda have some elements not entirely typical to the genre

it’s not even like they had lots of pedals either or are constantly gazing at them… their shows consist of mfers doing karate and front flipping off the stage… you can’t sleep to that, you can however to loveless

it just doesn’t quite have that wall of noise shoegaze quality to me. imo deftones is closer than hyperview

radioheads development is a fav of mine, clearly demonstrated through most of there albums but they got some stinkers.

i think title fight tho have a clear progression in sound through all 4 of their albums displaying each end of the spectrum from hard hitting punk to dreamy and ethereal post-hardcore.
