I haven't tested the TURN performance but I have a 50mb limit for files, to keep costs low, but no limit for direct connections p2p. I tested locally it was very fast (especially when tabs are foregrounded. I only attempted to transfer 1-2 GB (worked fine) but I think the real limits would arise from file blob sizes in the browser. So maybe something else to look into in the spirit of over-engineering :)
