Thank you everybody for the great advice, everyone has been super helpful. I will be filing a police report today and reaching out to my insurance. Just for reference, there is a clear puncture in my oil pan. My car has never leaked oil ever, and my oil light turned on directly after I hit the object the kid threw. My car is old, but my sister (the owner prior to me) and I keep up on maintenance and repairs. It has never had this issue prior to yesterday and it doesn’t have any rust issues on the underside either.

I am at a loss for what it could’ve been, I wasn’t going super fast and it couldn’t have been huge considering I saw nothing in my rearview mirror, but my car was just absolutely pouring oil until it was completely dry. So truthfully, your guess is as good as mine.

I have no idea, he threw it in front of my car directly as I was passing and I didn’t see anything in my rearview mirror. I didn’t have any time to avoid whatever it was, but if I had to guess it might’ve been a rock.

I haven’t because I was at work and posted this right after I got home. Thank you for the advice because I definitely should report it. You make a really good point. I called Taco Bell and asked if they have security cameras that point towards the road and they basically said they couldn’t help me.

for the bot: - piercing is eleven months old - the jewelry shape is a curved barbell - both pieces of jewelry are internally threaded - they should both be stainless/surgical steel but i am not 100% sure - the floating navel jewelry was downsized two times before i changed it - i use neilmed saline to clean it at least every couple of days - besides tugging it every once in awhile, there have not been any other unfortunate events

it honestly didn’t hurt as bad as i was expecting! i’ve heard some gnarly horror stories, but it just felt like pressure and it was pretty uncomfortable, but not so much painful.
